I made a small bowl out of a piece of hornbeam.
I first mounted the wood with a faceplate and turned the outside.
After I provided the outside with three burnt-in grooves and treated it with sealer, I reverse mounted it on a glue block.
When the glue had set, it turned out that the bowl was off center, so I removed it from the glue block and re-glued it to the glue block.
The second attempt was better but not good enough, and I decided to remake the outside.
So I turned the outside again and also burned the grooves in again.
Then I was able to hollow out the bowl and finish it without any minor setbacks.
I finished the bowl with woodwax.
The bowl has a diameter of 16 centimeters and is 4 centimeters high
