Countertop coffee canisters are very popular now. This would be an ideal design for that. This mug is lovely and the handle is super cool.

What an amazing work of art. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜. I wouldn't be able to drink out of it for fear of breaking it. I see why they didn't want you to "fix" it. The bubbles make it really unique, because you may never be able to recreate it.

Turned out really nice. Love the colors and the coffee beans. I bet he loved it. If your hand were any bigger it would not have fit inside. ☺ Thank you for sharing the making of such an awesome gift for your dad. Take care and be stay safe. 😺♥

Did you use max clr for the pour also?

Have to say, I agree with your wife and daughter on the epoxy bumps. Gives extra texture and appeal. Is the handle secured with epoxy also? When turning did it smell like coffee being ground? Overall, great looking mug. Bravo my friend 👏.

Good day! I was wondering if resin is resistant to hot water, i kinda wanted to repair a mug of mine with resin?
@CASWoodcraft3 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is. It will get a bit softer after a while in high heat, but it won’t melt. I wouldn’t put it in boiling water for long.

What is the pressure pot?
@CASWoodcraft3 жыл бұрын
It was originally intended for use with paint sprayers, but we use them in woodturning to apply high pressure to resin while it's curing. It pushes the air bubbles that could form up and out of the resin, making a clearer solid when it's fully cured.
