Jim Regarding tool rests. Many of us have solved that problem by welding a 3/8” rod of hardened steel to the top of the stock tool rest. In fact, my buddy and I don’t have a welder, so we glued it on with JB WELD cement. It works great! Designer Epoxy.

Really, I’m shocked that JB weld would have the strength to hold that. It’s great stuff, but I didn’t think it could take that much abuse. Thanks

I'm watching this while my mom is here, and she agrees this is beautiful! I saw the Designer Epoxy color and I was expecting more of a purple hue. Maybe it's the camera, but I'd argue it was the hypershift that made it look more of a silver/gray color. It's still beautiful and a great use of the wood! Ugh, Jim, I'm so surprised the house and 130k subscribers hasn't happened yet! Have faith! I'm looking forward to seeing the house done and sold, with your subscriber milestone hit. You deserve it! See you next Friday, Jim!

As a fellow lefty, I can confirm that we’ve had to learn to adapt not only to doing things in a righty world but even in learning to do things from righties. My grandmother was teaching my sister and I (we’re twins, and multiple birth individuals have a much higher incidence of being left handed than single births) to crochet when we were kids. She was agonizing over how to do it backwards to show us since we’re lefties, and we finally got her to just show us the way she would normally do it and we would adapt as needed for our dominant hand. I definitely love the shape of this piece, foot and all, and I look forward to seeing it again! My favorite pieces so far remain the coral/ocean pieces with the glow-in-the-dark colors, and the space pieces. You are so inventive and I always look forward to seeing what you come up with next. Keep up the great work!

I love the colour, the deep purple is gorgeous and it looks more stormy grey in some angles too, maybe because there is a lot of wood. Beautiful sparkle! I was in 2 minds about the scrap pieces, some bits I think are exquisite and some are just slightly hitting the wrong angle for me depending on where they ended up sitting relative to the final profile, but overall I really like this look, it's quite... organic, strangely? I can't think of a word to describe the feeling it gives me, but I do like the whole piece, definitely an artistic splendour! I would love to see this dark purple again, I think it would look spectacular mixed extremely strong with a really really light (maybe almost white or silvery) wood to contrast against it, with lots of larger resin areas. One of the many reasons I love watching this channel is because of how you inspire so many amazing creations in my imagination, even if that's where they stay! Thank you Jim!
