Absolutely stunning!! Giving life back to a piece of wood that would otherwise be forgotten or discarded. The “ moon” on the side is perfection! Would love to see one like this made with a midnight blue and light silver.

That is every bit as gorgeous as it displays. The colour combination really works and pops like a gem. Damn it’s a beautiful sight. So happy someone did an unusual colour. Just need to do a rain colour of orange and blood red on wood would be so effective. A bit like a blood red orange but burnt orange. Anyway the jar I imagine is a universal hit.😊❤

​@@JackMackWoodturning absolutely a good thing - there are tons of these multicoloured resin-and-wood turnings out there - all very good but a bit samey. This one is different... the swirls of colour look good enough to eat, they are that vivid. And the choices of wood and the finish are the perfect foil for the resin. Seriously, whatever you did with that resin... please do it again! 🙏😁

Haven't posted a comment for a while. Was getting a bit disillusioned. Wood turning was going the same way as food programmes on tv in the 90's - a bit overdone. Jack however has managed to pull be back from the brink with another stunning colour combination. Love it. Top marks Jack. Keep it up!

Great job! I’ve used the same method of creating the smokey look and works fine with casting resin. Like that you use the easy tool scrapers only way to go. Cheers!
