I would have been very nervous turning the inside with all that bark around the recess. I do like ash, but don't get much of it here.

A very nice bowl Mike. I do like the bark/natural surface on the outside. As you said it gives the bowl a bit of character. I love the finish. It is especially nice on the outside. beautiful. I have a garage full of one year old ash. I've yet to turn one leaving the bark as a feature, my concern being as it dries it will separate
