Hi Sir , can you please make videos on how to identify grammar or phrasal errors for competitive exams like IBPS Bank exams . From India Billions are waiting for your videos which will help them in cracking English part of exam. grate work ... :-)
@WoodwardEnglish7 жыл бұрын
I had never heard of the exam so I had a look. I see the exam has an English component. Some of our videos and many pages on our websites can help some of the topics that appear in this exam. Next year I would like to start creating videos and content for the IELTS exam which will be more useful for people in other parts of the world than an exam that is specific to one country. Having said that, the topics I will talk about in the IELTS exam are likely to be useful for the IBPS one anyway. I will have your exam in my mind though don't expect anything in the next few months.
At least, I have find this useful classes. I'm not sure if is useful or usefully, I have to practice my adverbs and adjectives😅

Is it ok to say maybe I didn’t lock the door instead of I might not have locked the door
@WoodwardEnglish4 жыл бұрын
You may hear both but they have different meanings. The first one you KNOW you didn't lock the door. The second one you are NOT SURE if you locked the door.

I would like to ask a question Might is said to be the past form of 'May'. Then how do we use might to show something in the past? What are the differences between Might and Might have?
@WoodwardEnglish4 жыл бұрын
We can use MIGHT as the past tense of requests with MAY: - She asked if she might borrow the car. - They wanted to know if they might come later.

7:13 she is not here.she might have gone to the market. 2.she is not..... She may have gone to the market. What is difference in both sentences?
@WoodwardEnglish6 жыл бұрын
Both can be used and more or less mean the same thing. Might often implies a smaller chance of something happening More details here: www.grammar.cl/english/may-might.htm

No practice - why not?
@WoodwardEnglish6 жыл бұрын
For some topics it is difficult to create. When I eventually do the general Modal Verbs video (where MAY and MIGHT will be included), there will be practice.
@lifelearner45lloyd976 жыл бұрын
Woodward English - thank you! I like to practice after a lesson. Practice lets me know how strong I am.

Might is used to ask for permission? Might is not used in academic language to refer to things that typically happen in certain situations?
@WoodwardEnglish5 жыл бұрын
Yes, some people use MIGHT to ask for permission. I wouldn't use it personally but some people do.This explanation is not just about academic language but English in general.
