Love that shop tour.. Nice to see a professional shop setup. Gave me lots and lots of ideas.. Love the Dust Collection systems you have in the shop.. Keep that warm/cool air in the shop where it belongs. Just clean it like it should be cleaned.. Love those Downdraft tables.. Hope you keep making videos.. Thanks for the ones you did put out.. The shop tour was really awesome..

I like the wall of machines on straight rollers. Would you use straight rollers again? Do you ever need wheel chocks?
@ODDBALLGALLERYKeithWilliams
@ODDBALLGALLERYKeithWilliams 3 жыл бұрын
The straight rollers work well for me because I don't have to turn the machines. Once in a while I have to move the wide belt to run longer stock. It has hard plastic casters, so I can slide it sideways with a little bit of effort. I usually just use a piece of 1/4 inch plywood as a chock on the lighter machines.

What stops the bag in the cyclone separator being sucked up? Is there some sort of retainer?
@ODDBALLGALLERYKeithWilliams
@ODDBALLGALLERYKeithWilliams 4 жыл бұрын
You are right , that does happen. I have the bag fit over the top part of a 32 gal plastic trash can. The rim of that plastic can rests on a ledge inside the steel barrel. I found out the hard way that you can't use a 55 gal bag in a 55 gal barrel. 😀 I replace the seal inside the lid every couple years. If it can suck in air it will suck the bag up.

If you want to upgrade your table saw i realy recomend a sliding table saw,, the bigger the better, i have been a cabinetmaker for almost 30 years and it have been the best improvement that i have made in my shop,,belive me ,,you wont reggret it,,,. Stay safe,,,,.Saludos desde México!!!

I would love to have a slider. If I had enough space to keep my old saw, I would get a slider. I don't know if I could give up the versatility of the traditional cabinet table saw for smaller cuts and jigs. As usual, all of my problems could be solved if I just had a bigger shop. 😀

Nice shop! Where did you find these filter tubes?
@ODDBALLGALLERYKeithWilliams
@ODDBALLGALLERYKeithWilliams 4 жыл бұрын
That"s a good question. I tried to look up the place where I bought them, and they must have went out of business. Oneida had them for a while but I don't see them there either. Most of the big companies that make these filters don"t want to mess around with small orders. I am planning on doing a build video with a smaller version of the sanding table. When I find a new source for these I will let you know. -Keith

@@ODDBALLGALLERYKeithWilliams Thanks for your response. While searching, I have found filter bags in 12'' by 10' in polyester felt made by oneida. Maybe by cutting the top, it can be used for that. I'm lookink forward for that build project. Your video make me tidy up my workshop.

Simon Cornélis The Oneida tube is like the ones I used. I just cut them into three pieces. The 23$ metal ring adapter they have seems kind of expensive though . You need two per filter. I’m going to look around to find a better price. I guess the problem with something lasting 25 years is the price increase when it is time to replace.😀

Now that's a shop, for one it was dirty so check and two you actually have lumber stored in there. So many fake shop tours on KZbin and these people might have one shelf of lumber on their walls or one stand up bay for a little lumber. But a real woodworker is constantly battling the lumber pile for space in the shop. I swear I have lumber freaking everywhere, my entire back wall, piled up scraps and a bunch in the roof rafters, even piles outside under tarps. Hell I think i have lost more lumber to rot and bugs then most will ever move through there shop. Really I just need a bigger shop. But it would take but a few more years to fill it up to lol

😄👍🏼 I have a problem with getting rid of shorts and scrap. You know, the stuff that is too good to throw away but not good enough to keep. When I cleaned out my dad’s shop I “inherited” a bunch of his lumber. If I live to 150 I will not be able to use it all.
