Thank for all the great videos, tips and footage! You're shredding with every board you try making it look like the best board ever! Crazy good skills! One question. Would you recommend this board for an upper end beginner for Mediterranean waves (Italy)? 1-5 ft waves, very short period, beach breaks, small rides mostly close-outs (usually steep and strong), on-shore winds, choppy conditions. I'm 72kg(165lbs) and 180cm(5'11") height. Surfing for 2 years on a 7'8 narrow round tail funboard (61L), catching most waves. But I need to move to something smaller, and have a more skatey feeling (I also surfskate). Does Sweet Potato check those boxes? Or should I opt for something else? Thanksss

I have both, love the seaside in average waves and more fun as a twin than the SP IMO, but if it's below waist high or I'm competing with long boarders and waves are flatter and crumbly, I use the sweet potato. I just subscribed to your channel bro 😎. Mad respect 🫡 from Hawaii Big Dawg!!! Your killing it bro. I love every minute of watching you kill it, but also act like a big kid at the same time with jumping off your board and doing flips. Shitt i do when I’m out by myself ! Sometimes people forget the joy of being in Mother Nature 💯. Anyhow, I now know for sure I’ll be grabbing me a sweet potato after watching your video. All my life I shortboard. Never ending battle with long boarders taking all the waves from sitting further out than us 😅 Now I had to joing them and started long boarding which helped my shortboard game tremendously. Looking more smoother and relaxed, rather than, always trying to kill everything I see on a wave. I seen it said your 6’1” 180lbs and rode a 5’6 SP. That’s impressive. Hats off 🤙🏽 I’m 5’6” 155lbs Advance Surfer currently riding a 5’5 seaside as my go to. I’m a Lifeguard as well, so on crappy days I opt for a longboard, at my local break because it sucks in the summer, but wishing I could shortboard because that’s my bread and butter. I would be paddle battling against long boarders and stand up paddle boarders. My lifeguard buddy said I should go for the 5’2 SP OR would you go for the 5’4” My buddy rips as well for a big dude and is swearing the 5’4 is gonna be to big for me, and he works at the surf shop as well. He see’s the way I surf and he says I like to rip and perform. He’s your height @ 6’1, rides a 5’6” SP and saying he could get away with a 5’2 SP because of how wide the layout is. Sorry for the long message bro. We coming to you with questions, as if your Jesus Ahahaha! In the end! It’s 12:11am midnight and can’t sleep thinking of pulling the pin on my next board. My Wife will want to strangle me with my own leash lol. But in the end I think we all just hate wasting money!!! Or social media and the web is confusing us all. Back in our day you give us a closet door 🚪 and we could rip that thing. Much Aloha Brother in advance 💯

One more thing to help you understand! I been hydro foiling and wing foiling down wind foiling for the past 6 years now. Got rid of all my surfboard quivers. Thinking I would never surf a regular board again. I fell out of love with it. Until I just recently became a lifeguard and needed something grab and go ready. No time to mess around with screws and assembling my foil configuration. To be honest! I forgot how much fun and love I have for short boarding again. 2 months ago I bought me the 5’5” Seaside, which my wife loves watching me tear the waves up on. Just when the waves suck suck, more like the waves you was riding in your clip. The board bogs. But give it a little juice “whistling “ 👌🏽

Technically, seems that the 5'8 would be the ideal for me, but under the arm it feels just like any of my other boards( even having 5 litres more.. wherever they are🤷). To have paddle power and be able to surf weak mushy waves (basically , longboard points) would the 5 10 be to much? Or should I stick to the 5 8?
