I love how they talked about the stickiness of the internet! I had left the Catholic church and joined an evangelical church with no intention of coming back. I found the Bible Project and went through their bible in a year and learned so much from their podcasts and ministry. They are truly godly men! Well, somehow, I came across Bishop Baron and loved his ability to communicate the richness of the intellectual history of the church and the existence of God, etc. And then Fr Mike and his exuberant love for the Lord spoke to me. All the while the Holy Spirit was inviting me back into full communion and I realized that I needed the grace of Body of Christ to live my mission here! So I returned! PRAISE God! And thank you for these two men.

I’m a real Catholic enjoying greatly Bishop Barron since I found him in KZbin lately. I listen to the word of God daily. I’m just becoming familiar with the Bible, greatest book, ever. My comment and question is how come CATHOLICS don’t learn about the Bible by reading it since we are young. I was born Catholic, Apostolic and Romanic and attended Catholic school since kindergarten until hight school and educated by nuns all along. I believe if Catholics were taught about it wouldn’t be so many lives lost like I almost lost my life because I didn’t have Jesus in my life. Just now I understand the worth of the Bible as the word of God talking to me. I’m undoubtedly grateful to God for my life and what I became today. Christ, I trust in you 🙏

The anonymity of the space makes for the vitriol…! I’m coming across the video (gratefully, again) several years after the fact. And I must say it is totally relevant… even now. In fact, I notice that I responded TWICE… way back …two years ago..! I went through the ‘Bible in a Year’ with Fr. Mike, and was so engaged. Things in your life change… you see things in a different light… from a different perspective..! Therefore becomes very relevant… in the moment..! I was the Parish Secretary (for 23 years, until a stroke sidelined me in August, 2024) at St. Francis Xavier, on Cape Cod… I must have missed Fr. Mike’s reference to SFX first time around. I remember, I booked a Mass for Goody, when she passed away. I am now coming to this video from a completely different perspective, after my stroke. I was always praying for someone else’s intention… now the Lord is hearing from me also, on my own behalf..! Sorry, for such a long diatribe. The Lord has given me time for reflection.. !! 😉🤭😂 Since this Epistle doesn’t contain ‘vitriol’ I don’t expect to hear from anyone..! LOL it’s mostly to give kudos to all of you. Can’t wait to hear you again. ❤️🙏🏻❤️ God Bless. I’m praying for you, please pray for me.🙏🏻

Hi I stopped the video at 5:39 to type this. That thing about grace? Padre Barron and Padre Schmitz? I never understood what my born-again christian classmates in highschool and college were talking about when theyre talking about "Grace" until I watched this. I just turned 33 yesterday(Jan. 22, 2023) and 2 weeks before yesterday? I was getting all these bible passages and affirmations from spiritual people and the clergy's homily that I am just where I am supposed to be since I have to get ready for something monumental to happen real soon. AND THEN THIS VIDEO popped in my feed. After I listened to Padre Schmitz' video about Jonah and the whale. Thank you for clearing my confusion about wht this is Im ecperiencing in the past couple of weeks. This maybe "grace" gently nudging me Thank you for appearing in my feed on the last hours of my birthday Have a great day

I love Bishop Barron I remember how his Word on Fire homilies always touched my heart and helped me in so many ways especially getting closer to Jesus to God when we were in the midst of this pandemic and churches were closed! And of course I still follow him!🙏 Fr. Mike is equally incredible! May God bless them both always!🙏🏻❤️

Amazing! What a blessing having two staples of the Catholic Church in the US together again! Word on Fire and Bible in a Year have helped strengthen my faith while on my spiritual journey, especially the last few years. I've been blessed to have both bibles and strive connecting with God more through the Word. May God continue to bless you both for sharing your annointing and wisdom. 🙏

I get to watch mass and participate with Fr. Mike. Then I watch Bishop Barron's Sunday sermons. To see them both together, kind of blows my mind a little bit. I am so grateful for each of you! When churches closed for the pandemic, my mass choice was with Bishop Barron. When those ended I found Fr. Mike, who is actually from a nearby diocese. Both of you had a hand in helping me keep the faith these last 2 years. God bless you both!

I have never met either one of you but you have been my spiritual directors in many instances of my life and I continue to go to you for answers. Thank you for your "YES" to your priesthood and using the gifts of friendly, welcoming communication that you have.
