If you had an usb-c to usb-a adapter you will be able to connect it to your smartphone and it will be recognized like a regular headset. I mean, if you are using an android OS based.

Hello, a quick check of JBL's website did not reveal an answer, but they answered another question in this way: "The wired version of our JBL Free WFH are the ones that can connect to a smartphone via 3.5mm jack. Our JBL Free WFH Wireless can only connect to a laptop/computer via USB". We hope this helps

Mic not detecting on my windows laptop.Purpose of this headset is joke.Dont buy.

Try disconnecting the mic from the headset, reseating it, and plugging it back in to the PC afterwards. If you don't get a response in whatever app you are using, open up the "Windows Sound Control Panel" click on the microphone tab and see if it lists the headset, if so select it from there, you may also need to select it within the preferences of the application you are using like "Zoom" for example.
