There’s two versions of Taskmaster broadcast. The main one after 9pm which isn’t censored. The one early in the evening has the swear words bleeped and some scenes shortened

I saw James live a number of times before this series went out and when the doors opened for the shows he was already on stage hula hooping for 20-30 mins while everyone came in. It didn’t make a lot of sense at the time.

They used to censor the YT videos, they don't anymore but now they don't show full tasks in their videos or the title would ruin the surprise for clickbate and sometimes they don't show the results. While you can't do episodes you should do full tasks, especially the earlier series, before they moved to Channel 4 (so series 1-9). Getting to watch the different approaches to the same tasks is one of the best things on TM, and people like Bob Mortimer or James Acaster shine even more in contrast. That said, I'll be watching any Taskmaster an Wilty related reaction you put up☺️

The 'Is that a boulder' Lyric is a call back to Taskmaster Season 1. Specifically the 'get this fake boulder as far away as possible' task, and Frank Skinner getting on public transportation with it.

It's always been uncensored. Then it became popular with families thanks to lockdown and HomeTasking. So it started getting an edited version broadcast at a family friendly time. Plus the TM KZbin channel uploads things from the censored edits because KZbin

Taskmaster is entertaining, but guys, seriously, if you want to really laugh at the funniest stuff Acaster has done (IN SHORT CLIPS TOO!) look up "James Acaster's Classic Scrapes", the channel. They may be podcast audio clips only but still totally worth doing. There are a good few of those that are gold, but in the cream you want to listen to "gets into trouble with lads on a night bus", "cuts through his old school" and "pulls after gig, plays twister and has to find a condom". You will not be disappointed, only rewarded with great and hilarious true stories from the Scrape Master himself.

The bleeping (or dinging) is most likely because it's an official promo clip on KZbin (rather than just being the non-sweary, child-friendly/daytime version) Although why they bother when the uncensored version is also freely available on KZbin is beyond me.

I didn't see this in my feed. Anyways, Most of the early seasons up to about series 6 or 7 are freely available. You can upload them and react to them without any issues. Lot's of other reactors do it... And they do not run for an hours. They run from between 37 minutes and 42 minutes. The rest is commercials.

Regarding censorship: That word is only censored because this video appears online on a specific KZbin channel. I can guarantee you that in the original version it is not censored. The bleeping of the word is probably a choice made by the channel owners, as I have seen the original clip on another KZbin channel where it was not bleeped.

Taskmaster is aired after 9pm which is what is called the 'watershed', the time after which swearing is allowed. Apparently, the bleeped swearing was a one-off episode accidentally aired with the bleeps and viewers complained in great numbers. Swearing is in all the other episodes.

We have a watershed law in the UK, which basically means, when kids should be in bed (after 9pm) profanity and nudity is allowed to be broadcast.

Considering all the swear words that brit tv doesn’t censor, the word C*nt in UK is considered especially offensive and sometimes, though not always, blipped. As others have said, the word in question in the full episode was not censored with a blip.
