Worked there 7 years paid off a house and boat. That’s the only thing good about the place. Took a job delivery at Core-Mark way less work less hours and only 5000 less a year. Unless your foodservice is union and your at 35 and hour you are a chump. Wish I went to core mark sooner best job ever. Get to take UN paid vacation with enough notice or just a day off. That never happened at Sysco

You're negative remarks were like 75% good and 25% bad lol. Good - health care, pay Bad - trucks, hours Healthcare and pay are some of the highest things people look for. Long hours and trucks are minor, you're going in as a trucker, picker or sales rep, you're kind of assuming long hours. But you're compensated for the hours worked lol. So im kind of confused.

@@Kevindatrucker I'm with sysco now lol, sales consultant, and ill tell you it's about 99% than any other job I've had, I've worked for some reputable companies, last was compass group, as a regional executive chef, pay was 80k a year for 60+ hrs a week, as a corporate chef, health care was 550 a paycheck for family. I'm on course for 95k this year, out at 4pm, work at home on 3 days of the week and benefits are 220 a paycheck. Win win, yeah its long days on the road but I can switch it up, im not a trucker or a picker so I dont know the full scoop but I know of what's been going on, but the pay is compensation enough for time, people who drive a truck usually do so because they know what it entails, but right now around me they're offering a 10k sign on and bonuses, think some guys are set for 100k standard base pay a year lol, so pros with cons I guess

I think most people’s complaint is the hard work and then some mishaps When you’re already working long hours and have a physically demanding job and other things start getting in your way, then it gets frustrating I would assume a, “this schedule is already difficult to maintain and you’re adding to it. I can’t do this. I’m out”

@@scirzzy322 Forgive me for being rude, but office workers shouldn't give their opinions in comparison to manual labor workers. You don't know what it's like to have your body doing all the work all day long. You work in an office, I think you should keep your reviews to office related jobs for comparison. People who are planning on driving a truck and delivering will not have the same experience at work as you do. You work at the company but don't do the job this video was talking about.

Sysco is crap. Management is lazy amd warehouse loads the trucks wrong or builds like dog crap and the rigs are junk and break all the time. Company sucks.

@DragonBreath 🐉 so meaning if I have multiple stops and on my log book have an hour of on duty it doesn't count as drive time until i start friving again?
@WorldStage_Decoder
@WorldStage_Decoder Жыл бұрын
@@SZJA correct 💯! For an example, if you’ve been on duty for 13.5 hours and haven’t driven a lick, you can only drive half an hour because your 14 would be almost up. Does that make sense?

@@spinninggood It’s whatever the sysco in your area is paying per hour. example in my city Sysco Hourly pay $24hr, 36hr OT but when you on your own you get your hourly plus cases,#of stops, pre and post trips all adds up

Man I worked at us foods for the exact same amount of time and quit. You hit right on the head in this video. I was 24-25 years old while I was working there and was in pain from running the ramp and lifting cases. Good money and benefits but you are definitely going to have to earn every penny of it.
