Here's the thing sir.... When it comes to your tutorials, one doesn't really need to wait for it to be released in order to hit that like button. That's why I just clicked it, even though the tutorial will be released tomorrow. I really hope you could also start with a series for dust from rbd fracture, smoke... And maybe some particles. Regardless of what you do next... Know that it is very appreciated. Thanks, Rami

Man really appreciate your efforts in making these. Thanks a ton. If your planning to take this tutorial further, Would be great if you could include texturing the rocks procedural as well or maybe setting it up for substance painter. Thanks again.
@AriseWorks4 жыл бұрын
That would be more of a pipeline tutorial rather than one about VOPs and attributes. There are better things to export to sbsP than rocks. And I think I will be covering sbsP soon, since no one talks in depth about anchor system.

Could you technically make this into a HDA and have the scale, of the sphere and the Noise frequencys be controlled through a random seed generator which you can cycle to basically make endless versions of rocks? By just using a slider?

ofc check out the updated series btw link in pinned comment, they are new and improved. also, repetition never hurts

Hi, I'm new to Houdini and I'm trying to do the tutorial but displacement is not working on the sphere neither the noise shows up when plugged in in the color, is there a viewport setting maybe that could be not showing me how the object changes with displacement? Up to minute 3 I see no changes in the sphere... Thnxs in advance!

This is great tutorial. Attribute-VOP is very nice function. However Attri-VOP can't treat imported mesh which come from "file node". (Houdini ver19.5 higher) Do you know how to solve this problem?
@AriseWorks Жыл бұрын
Unpack your geometry or convert to polygons

hi! i followed this tutorial and it was very helpful! however, im trying to import it into rhino and the file size is too big to open because its such complex geomtery. any suggestions on what to use to reduce the file size massively apart from polyreduce or uv texture?
@AriseWorks2 жыл бұрын
Why import it in rhino? Something specific there? Usually it's the other way around, you export out of rhino into H

Really incredible! How would you go about to create a wood texture with this method?

I wouldn’t do it that way tbh

This is a really great tutorial. Is it possible to combine these with heightfield terrains?
@AriseWorks4 жыл бұрын
As usual, there is a "but". You can, but HFs are volume, and the VOP in this one is a point (or polygon, or any in between) operator. Convert one to another to mix it up.

very great tutorial really useful, thanks! where can i get pictures in rat format for envlight ?
@AriseWorks4 жыл бұрын
You can use hdr or exr, no need to use rat format. The three hdris that come with Houdini install are from hdrihaven if I'm not mistaken.

Are you able to show us how to do it with VEX ?
@AriseWorks4 жыл бұрын
Hello. This workshop is about VOPs, not vex.
@NextroneOfficial4 жыл бұрын
Would you do some tutorials, can be in vop if not in vex, about manipulating the geo with sin or cos? I saw some veery interesting shapes that can be achieved using those functions and the rotations...any thoughts on that :)? Or maybe uv's? Best regards, really good content about Houdini you got here!
@AriseWorks4 жыл бұрын
If you have arrived to this particular video without skipping previous material, I don't know what would be stopping anyone from trying out running previous setups using the sin function, or any other setups, however tacky they might seem at a first glance.
