For Whom the Bell Tolls

Here's a quick mini episode of The Woodsman's Podcast to preview some outdoor activities Ed is hoping to be doing in the next couple of weeks, including some last ice fishing for the season, maybe a rabbit hunt, and beaver trapping. We got a new sound board for The Woodsman's Podcast so we're doing a micro episode to test it out. The board (Behringer Xenyx 1204: amzn.to/2HZhqKZ) works really well, but the problem we ran into is that Max's computer's cooling fan makes a lot of noise so we're going to have to figure that one out.

Good to here from you Max and Ed, I take it there is not much heat in the room where you are recording, you would think Ed being a HVAC guy would have that issue resolved lol. I'm about halfway through reading THE WILDERNESS LIFE by Galvin Rutstrum and it is a good read so far. Take care.

Sounds much better. I also enjoyed the poetry recitation. I remember we had to memorize Casey at the bat and walking through woods on a snowy evening back in 7th grade English. Remember reading old man and the sea in 8th grade i think.

The self titled Metallica album is best known as the Black album. It was their 5th studio album. For whom the bell tolls is on the 2nd album, Ride the lightning!! Sorry boys but I'm a Metallica freak!! Keep up the great work!!!

In my defense I didn’t start listening until mid 90s (Load / Reload era) and now I just have all their music on my Spotify so that why I can remember when any of the albums came out. I really like The Unforgiven trilogy. On Garage, Inc, I like Loverman, Tuesday’s Gone, and Whiskey in the Jar. The Black Album really was packed with classics, though. Wherever I may Roam, Enter Sandman, The Memory Remains. I could just copy and paste the whole playlist, they’re all great. Don’t forget “Don’t Tread on Me,” an under appreciated song in my opinion.

Not for nothin but I think its pronounced "SteelinLogs" as in Stihl chainsaws. My guess. I could be wrong. Great podcast though!
