Good show lads. I have also not seen any acorns or beech nuts this year and I have 40 acres, 50%-ish of beech and the remaining being mixed hardwoods. Nothing around. My apple and pear trees didn't do well this year either, nor did the grape vine. So pretty slow all around. I guess the "Old Wives Tale", to kind of go with what you guys talked about, is that is a sign of a mild winter. Typically, at least from historical data......acorns are on a rotation for production, much like the rabbit and predator populations.
