Another great build. +1 for the weathering tutorial. A tip for applying bubble-free vinyl to a shiny surface like acrylic or glass, is to spray the surface with water and a tiny amount of dish soap before applying the vinyl cut. If you use the edge of a bank card to smooth it out slowly, those bubbles will squeeze their way to the sides easier.
@TheSmugglersRoom3 жыл бұрын
AAHHHHH, great tip!!! we actually re-did the sticker and it was much better the second time around. It is a different vinyl than we usually use too, but that tip is going in our notebook for future use for sure, thank you!

For a workshop, with power tools etc. you should consider adding an israeli field dressing with the depressor - you can use it as a normal bandage, but it’s more versatile and will also apply pressure to a wound. If you’re working with anything stabby, consider a chest seal with the vent as well. look both up so you know how to use them, they’re pretty simple but can make a big difference in that worst case moment.

Weathering is my favorite part of almost any paint job so I'd really like to see a tutorial, I've found your channel recently but I'm always impressed by the weathering. I've moved out last year and I've been meaning to put together a more solid first aid kit instead of having some supplies in a closet somewhere (especially after a few clumsy kitchen accidents), so the item tips are pretty helpful! :D

It never occurred to me to do this until we started planning a makerspace, but a voice assistant/smart speaker that can call 911 for you is a smart plan for workshops because it is hard to dial for help if you have a finger cut off (and blood messes with touchscreen phones). I have set up Amazon Echo and Goggle Assistant to do this, and it is very easy. I would love to see you tie in a voice assistant with a droid head!
@TheSmugglersRoom3 жыл бұрын
Yessss, we might need to try to do that for sure, all these droids one of them should be responsible for taking care of us! I think we will incorporate that into the shop especially since there is only one of us in there by ourselves and that would be a handy thing to have at the ready.

I've spent the last few years teaching Bleeding Control classes, and I've seen many many of the Amazon knock-offs break. I say knock-off because they are based on the North American Rescue CAT Tourniquet. When it comes to major bleeding, you'll want the real deal! Stay safe man!
