How does it compare to the m12 inflator in terms of speed? Maybe you can do a comparison test between the M12 ,the DeWalt and the ryobi.

Can do guys, but if you compare the times between our M12 video and this one you will see the Dewalt is faster. BUTm the DEWALT has to rest for 20 minutes after 10 minutes of use where the Milwaukee has to rest 10 minutes after 10 minute of use.

Excellent review. Just a note that the manual states that the 10 minute max runtime followed by a 20 minute rest period applies only when the PSI of the item being inflated is greater than 100.

Either way... These little compressors build heat very quick and don't have a good way to dissipate that heat due to the compact size. Heat kills. It's always best to give it a break to cool as much as possible.

My current 2020 version has a clip for the plastic piece of the right side for high volume pumping that was dangling in the review video. Bought the inflator at Home Depot for $99 tool only without battery. So far very happy with the quality. I love the auto shutoff. As a dewalt 20v tool owner I have spare batteries to use for this tool. It does have DC cord. They do offer an ac adapter as a separate option but I don’t see the need.

I use this thing and it is AWSOME. I take care of some X-Ray vans that are on Ram ProMaster chassis. I pack it in a suitcase without the lithium batteries. I carry those in my carry on luggage. The tires need 65 on front and 80 psi on the rear. This is better than some plug in small volume compressors. It is essential for my work. A++

I have this inflator as well. With the AC corded adapter DeWalt N557514 power supply. Works amazing. However with any computer pressure regulated system. My concern is if the module ever fails there are no replacement parts listings for these units. This system should have some kind heat protection setup. Or they should have built it like a regular compressor but compact and same size. I also agree that they should have made the dial a bit more robust rather than all the sloppy play in it. Other than that it works amazing. Only time will tell how long these units will last through constant use.

Some Safety Tips Ensure your air compressor is only used with outlets that have the proper grounding. If you plug an air compressor into an incorrectly grounded outlet, it could damage the machine’s electrical circuitry and even cause a fire. When using either type of portable compressor it is a good idea to keep the vehicle running. This will keep the battery from discharging and provide a more consistent 13.5 volts DC to the compressor’s motor. 10A current draw for 10minutes - what does that do to your cars wiring?

Just purchased mine today. Good knowing about the ten minute run time,as I hate manuals 😊 My tire started going flat during lunch at BP, and across the parking lot is a Canadian Tire . I bought there Motomaster brand that fits In your hand like a drill, but returned it this morning when I got home and found out Dewalt made this unit your reviewing . I have a plethora of Dewalt tools , so this just made sense . I’m wondering if leaving the battery connected to the compressor will drain it over time, and should I leave the battery detached ? I’m basically going to leave this unit in my 2016 F150 , and keep it stored under the rear seat just incase I have another incident. Liked and subscribed 😊

I have a Volvo V70 2001, the 12V DC Vehicle connector won't fit (too large) and the DeWalt (no air) to inflate the tire, however, I get air when the the High Volume Hose (mattress etc., don't need) is selected with a 20-Volt MAX Lithium- Ion Battery 3.0ah attached. The light works and the start button is very flimsy. Thank you.

I bought this unit because I like the auto-shutoff when tire pressure has been achieved; I've been using Slime infiltrators to fill our cars tires, if necessary on a monthly basis. But the Slime pressure gauge is off and I have to make a guesstimate. It is frustrating when I over inflate when checking with a tire pressure gauge and have to deflate and then go under the recommended pressure and have to re-inflate. I don't think the 10 minute run/20 minute rest will be a limitation. But, is the DeWalt Flexvolt 60V air compressor suitable for tire inflation and does it have auto shutoff? Or is the 60V overkill?

Chances are, you will not have a completely flat tire in that situation. If you did, an inflator will not help you anyway due to the size of hole. If you use it over the duty cycle once, it probably wont hurt it. If you do it over and over, it will shorten the life of the inflator.

Will the 110 cord charge the actual battery or do you need a separate battery charger?

It will nit charge the battery. You would need a charger.

It displays lo P and then automatically shuts off when I plug it into 12V and try to pump my bicycle wheel. Any ideas on how to use 12V to pump my wheels?

Man, I didn't even think of that! You are right, I can use my little blower as a volume inflator. Ok. My M12 inflator stays home, no need for Dewalt :-)

Wow I got burned 😅 you guys must be in the states. I just paid 180$ for mine. With no battery. I got 2 , 1.5 amp hour batteries already with my drill. Tho. I do like mine. They're could be a few changes. Door on both sides would be nice. And the battery thing is silly you would think they would account for people using bigger batteries. I like mine tho. Hate using air pumps at gas stations. The 12 volt adaptor sold it for me too. Pumps no good it you can't power it. The thread on the hose is great too. Set it and forget it.

Solution to your air hose tip just hanging in the back. Yes it can easily be ripped off that way. I clamp mine into slot under the inflator and the hose goes into the next slot. Can’t post a pic or I’d show ya.

I don't see anywhere where the AC house plug power cord is on here,and you didn't talk about it in the video either, it shows it on the box but it is not anywhere on the tool. second question is you also didn't talk about inflating bicycle tires is that something this tool can do and if so how we have looked at this and I can't figure it out unless it's something we have to buy extra
@WorkshopAddict
@WorkshopAddict 4 жыл бұрын
The AC plug is an accessory and not included with the tool. The tool can fill bike tires. If you have a Schrader valve, it screws right in. If you have the "other" style in higher end pikes, there is an adapter on the side of the tool that is brass that screws on so it fits.

Bro , the little watch ama caleta you said is hanging. There is a small latch on the bottom . Where you can hook it up so its not dangling. My bad I haven’t notice its 2018 , we are now close to 2024 . Ive seen this inflator and it now has a latch. 😂

Does this deflate car tires as well? I need one for off roading when deflating is needed. I read some reviews and I see some people mentioned that it only deflates balls and mattress, but not car tires, is that true?

where is the ac connection or do you need to purchase a separate ac to dc adaptor so when you are in the house the dc car plug can go into the adaptor and the adaptor plug into the home 120 v? It advertises THREE power sources but I only see the battery and the DC cigarette lighter adaptor
