Depends on the Starbucks. On busy days I serve 500 people in 8 hours, most of whom are regulars. That's about a customer a minute.

I know half the ppl here are like "wtf it's coffee" but it's just the same as craft beer, whiskey, wine, and other craft-quality drinks...yes, you can have Coors, or Jack Daniels, or box wine, and they all have their place. But maybe, just maybe, the process of consumption should be a little more thoughtful, a little more meaningful - this is what craft food & drink is about. What people should know is that being a barista is not only about grinding coffee. This contributes 50% to being a barista and the rest is all about a barista's personality, the changes we make in people's lives through bringing a smile to them, creating different tastes to their pallets, sharing knowledge to others, building friendships, creating a good atmosphere to keep up customers flowing in hence making more business for other sectors like kitchen, extending love and many more. And I realised that these people coming to coffee shops the highest percentage dont like coffee but they come in just to look and admire the barista then they go a head to learn and like drinking coffee.
