Hey everyone - I knew this video would be controversial as I emphasised in the video I was of split opinion if that position is justified for holding back a break across multiple flanks or if instead a heavily armoured top tier tank destroyer should be at the front with his allies. As I asked what's your opinion? Was it a wise tactical choice (without hindsight) or a selfish move?

+QuickyBaby I'm not complaining about the player or the decisions he made, maybe he had his reasons (mission, a personal challenge, whatever you want). He made a very high damage game, and a lot of kills, he surely is a very good player, because he knows how to move, angle the tank, prioritise targets etc and this single game doesn't mean that he always play this way. What i'm complaining, and the reason for my thumb down, is that i see no reason to feature such a replay on this awesome channel: it's not amusing, not useful to understand how you should play a Ferdinand or this specific map, there is useless apcr ammo use, no teamwork. Ok, it was one of the highest damage game, but is this enough to be featured here? I don't think so.

+QuickyBaby I love that the high stat camper got killed at the end. He may "had his reasons" for camping, but remember that he is in a pretty strong tank that is top tier in that round. On an open map i would probably support a TD being in the back providing cover fire, keeping enemies pinned down. But that guy showed everything wrong gameplaywise. Being a top tier i believe you should choose a flank and push, kill enemies then decide if you proceed or return to defend base. And after all the fun in world of tanks is playing as a team with total strangers. That player just decided to sacrifice his whole team and it was pure luck he did 11 kills. Pure luck because there were no arties and he played against a team even worse than his own. At the end he just played dumb for not loading HE shell to kill the prototype, instead he bounced not aiming enough time for the turret shot. And it is not such a big deal, but there are some real high stat assholes playing a platoon of three, being top in a tier-X battle playing the same game as the guy from that video. And to be honest, watching the channel there are few examples in those videos (a lot of kills, high damage etc.) where your viewers can see a good offensive (by a single player or a platoon) gameplay. So yeah, 11 kills and high stats couldn't save the day and this is great, more people should see this. Or you can find a good example of the same camp, by a platoon with enemy arty and make a video on what is the chance to win it. Best regards!

normally I use that position if I am in a papery TD two tiers down, but from the team list I can see why he did it. His whole %chance to win was based off him, and with that many weak players on his team he likely would have been bum rushed after his allies wilted. It might have seemed a little scummy, but honestly some of the people on his team were really only worth the hp they could give to the enemy instead of his own. In other words, the best thing some players can do for you is get shot long enough for you to knock out the ones shooting them.

+Rolincito Azmitia There is better games where the result may be more predictable, or easier to know who to cheer from through it, but I think this video has a lot going for it. It highlights a real issue with good play vs bad play vs good team-member vs bad team-member. This one had a high WN8 player be clearly selfish and his team suffered for it. And it had the T28 Prototype highlight what an average player can achieve in ordinary and slow tank can do if they are always working to support their team :-) So all round, I think this was an excellent replay to show.

+JT Hrdy no, Quickybaby definitely mentioned this fact at the start as he was discussing the positions. If he had gone to one single flank he could have had more of an impact, because then their team might actually have won one of the flanks. As QB mentioned, the only time you ever get effective shots from that position is when you've already lost the fight on that particular lane - by saying that he had effective shots on all 3 flanks, you're saying that he allowed the team to lose on all fronts by not asserting his presence there. Did he do the absolute best he could given his position? Yes, he did; it doesn't change the fact that his position, while giving him an absolutely fantastic game, probably hurt his chances of winning more than it helped his team.

1) He fires prem-ammo as top-tier TD early. 2) He doesn't support team, instead he let them spot for him and sacrifices them for own stats. 3) He hides far backward as top-tier good-armored high-structure tank. 4) The enemies were very stupid how they approached him and didn't take the flag to make pressure. 5) He had a huge load of luck with all these bounces and track hits by so many enemy chances to get him. This video is by far no example of good play, rather how much egoistic actions, ridiculous RNG and incredible stupid community rewards some players.

This is one of the main reasons why WG will not take away the presence of artillery. To sum it up, a purple rated base camper who doesn't trust his team, watched his teammates perished one after the other, and ultimately led to his own demise.Watch carefully and you'll realize that he did little help to his team while most of them were still alive, and .the enemy team truly deserves the win

The problem is your audience isn't just 30.000 battle-unicums, but also many less skilled and experienced players. Which is a good thing. They come here to learn, and for the most part your channel is great for that. But all they will see in this video is someone getting loads of kills and damage. So what I'm afraid of is new players trying to replicate this by camping in the back, letting their team die and losing battles, just because they also want to achieve a result like this one. I understand you want to spark a discussion (and here we are, you succeeded). But you can also do that by taking a position, not just asking a question. Don't be afraid of having a strong opinion on something. Even if I would not agree, I'd appretiate to hear it.

Being top tier I would probably push up to the middle to cover the middle road and south. From there you could turn north or return to base if required. If I were not top tier I think where he was a perfect spot to keep my gun singing for as long as possible. It also gives great flank shots if anyone breaks through from the peninsula.

I play the jagdpanther 2 all the time and have never played that position. I admit my style of play is a bit over aggressive for most TDs but suits the JP2. I had the ferdy but gave it up right after the JP2 came out. My favorite TDs so far are the Hellcat, JP2, and the Jagdtiger but only because I don't have the deathstar yet.

I agree with others that say this guy pretty much just camped bush and spammed premium rounds against a team that was too dumb to just outright rush him together at the end when they had the numbers advantage. Also, like others, I feel the 59 patton was the real star as he took on the northern flank by himself and helped spot for the Ferdi at the end.

Fjords is one of WG worst corridor maps for TDs that camping position is the best 'logical' place on this entire map for a TD to go, he did the right thing NOT his fault, WG and there small corridor maps fault here ~QB yes you! a TD even a Ferdinand is not a heavy tank for assault its slow and clumsy and if ANYONE gets around you? your dead! I watch your live stream most nights Mr yolo! yes QB your Mr Push and die ~~ also the only TD you do well in is the T8 Charioteer as it plays like a Comet maybe? when I watch QB in a TD its usually back to the garage soon ~ maybe less criticism for a tank class that WG makes more and more redundant in the current game meta? just saying

I guess that that's how some of the pro players got pro stats... Stay back (not only in a TD), sacrifice all of your teammates who are trying to do some teamwork... This is what kills the joy of the game. When there is a top tier heavily armored tank at the back all battle long, and maybe you could win the battle if he would come forward... And at the end he, who hasn't done any teamwork so far, got the highest XP and wn8...

He got what he deserved. He practically let 3/4 of his team die for his own personal benefit. I'm not taking anything away from his play, he did everything correctly, but he in no way deserved to win this game. I'd like to see him try to do this against tier 10 tanks, he'd get obliterated.

Considering his team line-up... I think he might be justified to go there. He saw that at least one or two flanks will fall very quickly, and considering that Ferdinand is not a very quick tank, being passive and defend could give him more possibility to win that game. However, if that's where he always takes his Ferdinand to on Fjords, then yes that's kind of chai-sniping, but I don't think I can blame him, because after all you can play the game however you want to.
