On this map the other day, using the Gearing of all things, I managed to circle around the islands to the enemy side, launched all my torpedoes along the islands, and got EVERY SINGLE enemy ship currently in that line (which was four, by the way). I then proceeded to rip through the enemy team, reducing them to five ships, got magazined by a battleship, and some sort of wizard ninja cruiser captain killed all of our ships and somehow managed to singlehandedly defeat us.

15:50 I LOVE that map when I am playing my Fujin! I always go up northeast by the islands, I get there early using speed boost. Then, it is a waiting game! XD if the first targets are BBs, well I am pretty much guaranteed a metric ass ton of damage, kills and experience! But if it is other Cruisers and DDs, I pop smoke before they spot me, and wait for them to either be smart and turn back, or do the average low-mid tier pubbie thing and ATTEMPT to push towards my smoke! If they are within 7km, I won't even shoot my guns, I just get ready to torpedo them, yanno "wait til I see the whites of their captain's eyes", and launch when they get to about 3.5km OR start trying to move away after getting to about 5km. But overall, that there map is AMAZING for IJN DDs, Arkansas Beta (fully hooked up as I have mine. 14.1km range, 26 second reload, and more) and the Murmansk!

Jingles, that gunfire was a lot less inconsequential as even you amended it to be, as there were /two/ ships you killed with gunfire. The first was your second kill, one that you derped right before engaging the enemy Campbeltown, and then the second was the one that you ninja'd. And the award for the Most Aesthetically-Pleasing Battle of WoWS in April, 2016 goes to: Rear Admiral Jingles, commanding the HMS Campbeltown.

So that was the mission in the game Medal of Honor: European Assault, the opening mission to the game?! Interesting! And thank you once more Lord Gnome Jingles for giving us another wonderful historical class about another ship

My grandfather was one of the commandos involved with Op.Chariot! Massive part of my inspiration for joining the Royal Marines! Excellent to hear the events recounted

+daredemon666 Did he survive? Thank him for his enormous brass balls for me!

+jakekillify Wish I could, He survived the raid but was later captured in North Africa and spent the rest of the war in a POW camp. He died around 2002 and I never really got the chance to talk to him about it, I was only 7 at the time. I've read his diary from the POW camp and I have his old dog tags and his medals!

I believe the Greatest Raid of All is the name of the youtube video about Operation Chariot, which is where jingles got the animated clips from. Very good documentary I do recommend it!

I just got rewarded the Campbeltown last month. I'm enjoying the HMS Campbeltown. Only had 1 lost so far from 7 battles.. Surprisingly, I especially like her torps. Her torp arcs to be exact. The Campbeltown is very thin when bow in. Use this to your advantage as you charge at your target. This ship's torp arc allows you to fire forward, so you can fire your torps as you approach your target. At her tier, BBs don't have alot of secondarie so this strategy is not that risky but make sure the BB do not have a cruiser escort.
