As for 14:50, if I recall correctly, my guns had turned at that point but the big island was in the way and I couldn't get a shot in time and as for the health I think that mutsuki managed to get a couple of torps on my bow and got me down to ~25k and a couple of salvos from the normandie did the rest.

Thank you Jingles - your videos convinced me to create an account and download the game. I started playing the other day and it's pretty fun so far! I blew my doubloons before figuring out how things worked, blew much of my free xp on ships in the tech tree and am currently slogging through on the Emerald. I am enjoying it though and looking forward to the Leander. I can pretend it's the Ajax. :D As a beginner, maybe RN CLs is not the way to start, but i'm enjoying it anyway and wondering whether to give the CAs a try as well after I unlock Leander. "Why can't CVs burn for longer than 5 seconds?" Well, basically, because WG insists, that you can not handle more than one thing at a time, if you are playing carriers. Thanks to 8.0 AND a year of failed tries to *balans* the CV and AA rework AND WG not listening to players and tester alike, but their precious, almighty spreadsheet instead, here we are, In a time and place, when CVs will only burn for 5 seconds... (while taking a LOT more dmg per second in comparison, I might add) 😉

@CyberKnife Considering that realistically, aircraft carriers completely changed the entire way naval warfare was fought, and it became less about engaging in surface gun fights and more about who could find and aerially destroy the enemy fleet first, I'd say CV's in the game are not even a tenth as bad as what they did in real life at this point. And to be honest, while I'm annoyed as heck at being constantly harassed by aircraft thanks to the new mechanics, I don't honestly find CV's to be that bad of an opponent. really good players can use them effectively just like they can any other ship, while bad players prove pretty worthless to their team. Just like any ship. *shrugs* I really don't get the hatred people have for CV's, as they're not any better or worse then any other ship used by a good or bad player.

it is amusing how in many games I play the people with the aircraft carriers, fly high. Here's a tip: AA's have a harder time shooting you if you fly lower, and if you have a torpedo fighter, fly low, fast and shoot the torpedos before they turn...

I dunno if I would say AA/Secondaries are the main thing you notice between the Warspite and the QE I think the main thing you notice are the QE's turrets being half as fast as the not-too-speedy Warspite's.

7:00 actualy jingle, CV ARE very weak to fire, you just need to know how to proceed because they have no control over their damage control (WG think we're dumb, maybe they are right) and it's auto pop into action at the very first fire, WG conter balance that with a 1min long damage control, so if you prefer your CV well toasted like I do, just : -set a fire -look at timer -set 1 min countdown -switch target or go AP -when 1 min past, come back with HE and you have than 1min40s to set 4 fire on the CV and look his health bar go bye bye in smoke.

Jingles, IMO the biggest difference between QE and Warspite isn't their AA or secondaries, its the 25s extra turret traverse time QE needs to to bring her guns to bear. We know AA is pointless and secondaries are only worthwhile on ships like Warspite when you're about to chew on many sea sausages anyway

Sonar Tech77 Understandable. Barely touched the Russian cruisers until they did the announcement. Currently in the Chapayev and it’s been driving me crazy. I’ve watched videos on how the Russian cruisers are meant to be played and I do everything exactly as the guides say. Before I was in the Chapayev I did extremely well with the Shchors averaged around 80k in damage and was always in the top 3 XP earners. But as soon as I went on to T8, it just went downhill. I even used my good XP flags to grind past it and I’m only 50k from unlocking the DM Donskoi. Can’t do much when you’re whole team throws a match. My win rate on the Chapa is around 40% due to shitty teams and I’m not even a bad player. (I’ve heard that wargaming likes to force you into bad teams in match making which in my opinion shouldn’t be in the core of the game. It should be completely random no matter how many wins or skillful a person is at the game.)You can check out my stats on the NA server it’s the same as my KZbin name.
