Except if the stalingrad plays that better he doesn't even die. Literally all he had to do was play it slow and let the hak keep the gearing spotted while he stayed bow on to the battleships. Not to mention you now have a very low health dd who is out of dfaa consumables with a midway left in the game. Fortunately it looks like battleship players still enjoy driving into torpedoes as much as they always have....

Saw this crap coming WAY back when Wargaming first introduced the Chrysler tank in WoT. Then they introduced random loot boxes that you HAD to use to get certain ships and then the shit-tastic launcher... That's when I bailed. When I realized that Wargaming was trying to become a "Mobile game Developer". Also Known as; "Ripoff Artist". That's when I stopped playing and uninstalled. My only regret is that I won't ever be able to send in a replay again. (And yes, you did feature one of my WoT replays in an episode of "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly." It featured me being the victim of cheaters. Sadly, I'm too crap to send in an amazing play replay. However I do seem to have a talent at being in the wrong place at the wrong time.)

Honestly, I can’t figure out the anger with lootboxes or gatcha or other gambling aspects. Countries should add regulations to protect vulnerable individuals such as those with gambling addictions, but when these mechanics currently exist in most games (at least those that I play), its not really surprising to me when content is released in this way. Maybe everyone in the WoT/WoWS games feel that they are just entitled to new tanks/ships. By contrast, players in other games view the gatcha as part of the collection process.

One really nice thing the cv did here - probably because he was dived with the dd was to drop his torps to keep the Montana on course - so he got hit by the dds torpedoes doing far more damage. One of the most annoying things cvs do is to drop ships that have dd torps incoming and turn them away so the dd torps miss....

In my experience you don’t want to give broadside to a Montana in the Smolensk. I think Montana’s shells are so slow that they are perfect. Definitely give broadside to something like a Yamato.

I'd like to add that Commander Jerzy Swirski also includes a .05% increase of adrenalin rush which at a glance seems Meh "BUT" it represents a full 25% increase of adrenalin rush. Yep .05 is 25% of .20 so he offers an 25% increase of adrenalin rush and he gets it right off the get go and always (if you've got adrenalin rush as a commander skill). So if you are half dead adrenalin rush alone provides a 10% boost of three major attributes (AA, main gun reload, torp reload), therefore with Swirski you'd have 12.5% increase of all those attributes at half ship hp instead of just the 10%. For AA you'd add another 10% of AA after you've shot down 20 aircraft and another 5% torp reload boost after 8 torp hits so... the effects of Jerzy Swirski's added adrenalin rush attributes becomes quite brutal for the ships' 3 major capabilities. In short Jerzy Swirski is well worth his cost in coal even though he is quite expensive. He is by far the best DD commander of any that you can buy "hands down"! I've actually got him in my Oland because my Oster and Halland don't need him as badly as my Oland does for tier 10 Battles and It makes Oland absolutely brutal against tier 6 Cvs, it does quite well against tier 8 CVs and it holds it's own against tier 10 CVs. Oland is also often outclassed fighting other DDs so Jerzy at least evens up the fight against many of them. I can't say enough about the worth of Jerzy Swirski especially at 21 skill points, I'm so glad I got him and wanted to share that with other Pan Euro Players. Cheers! Sea_Tiger_59 NA server
