Thank You for posting. I was 25 When my Doctor commented: "he thought I had Parkinson's but I was too young to have an old Person's Disease" That was in 1983. His recommendation was since I was an avid cyclist, to keep on riding long distance (100-mile) events. Took years before I had a diagnosis (my tremor was dismissed as Thyroid medication was too high, but blood work was normal, see you next year). Dx, and seemed to ramp rapidly to 1600 mg levodopa daily. Worked great, but on/off made life difficult. Signed up for Parkinson's Boxing in 2015. DBS in 2016. Last year learned how to run. Still working. Boxing, Running, Cycling, Swimming in the last year. Pain occurs, but intense exercise lets my brain disconnect from the pain. The goal is 360 minutes intense exercise a week. For everyone: when first diagnosed, ramp up the exercise. Don't delay, it is never too late to exercise. Tom (Austin, TX)

Thanks for the info Sarah. For people who have NOH and are needing compression socks, I saw an ad the other day for a company that makes cute compression socks, varied colors and designs. No more unattractive socks : ). Don't know the name of the company but I'm sure google can find them.
