If it's so easy you're welcome to go break the WR yourself, after all, the TAS is 40-odd seconds so there's obviously still time save possible, and since it doesn't take any skill or focus I'm sure you could smash it out in an arvo. As long as you keep your content consistent, you will definitely blow up. No one has really done these kind of videos (certainly not to this level of quality). And there is a large audience for it. I don't even watch Speed Runs, and I would watch every single one of these videos. It has a massive potential. The only thing people need to realize, is that KZbin doesn't exactly reward accounts that only put out 1-2 videos a month. And these kind of videos take time to research and make. So it would be pretty stressful. The other issue is, how many speed runs are there really? At some point, he might run out (especially since he's combining years and years of speed runs, into a single video for a specific game). I guess this is prob less of a problem, since there is a lot of games that exist, and there probably actually is a ton of speed runs for games. I just wonder if he should put out regular content in between (shorter videos), so that his account doesn't suffer KZbins dumb algorithms. Then again, maybe it doesn't matter. Keep up the good work either way. This is fantastic.

Look up the user salt suggested in the video Dotsarecool I'm subbed to him. He has videos of the greatest possible explanations on KZbin for how/ why these mario glitches are possible. They're VERY interesting. I mean he even has a casual version and a more detailed version, for whatever you're feeling or ready for. He knows his stuff, legit. Also did you know an entire hex editor has been created on a SMW cartridge before? I mean a legit way to bring up lines of values on your screen you can edit to change almost anything in the game. You should look this stuff up, i believe SethBling has videos on it. I wouldn't recommend these things if i didn't think you'd appreciate it. It'll blow your mind.

One thing I really love about Summoning Salt, he does every single video as though the viewer has never seen one of his videos before or knows anything about the history of speed running. Always includes 30seconds explaining speed demo archives and other sites before KZbin. Just super professionally done videos imo, always super focused, has the perfect music for them and just makes each and every story interesting.

Yo I know that not a lot of people are going to see this, if any, but I just wanted to say that I love these videos, they’re so entertaining and that you should keep making them. Much love and respect towards you.

my brain is finding it difficult to accept that the straight to credits glitch is beating the game.

You sure aren't the only person to think that, they did create a "meme" run that kills the bowser

Couldn't agree more. I'm the glitch-less type guy. I mean, you know, actually play the game! Exposing glitches is like taking a helicopter to the summit of a mountain and saying you climbed it.
@Needformadness25 жыл бұрын
Big Mike you are implying the glitches are easier to do than playing the game glitch-less, which is more often than not the case.
@unbelievablescenes5 жыл бұрын
Onceuponatimetherewasalongnameitwassolongeveryonedied he’s implying that glitches aren’t playing the game.
@banzairefile88055 жыл бұрын
@Big Mike well, the official speedrun.com rules state that you just need to reach the credits for your run to be valid. So, *technically* , that’s “beating” the game. Therefor, the run is valid ( ***technically*** ).

Possibly my favourite thing about speedrun progression videos is the relentless cycle of discovery and optimization. Someone discovers a trick to get through the game faster. Everyone practises for weeks, months, or years, shaving minutes and seconds and fractions of seconds off the time until it's about as low as it can get. Then someone discovers a new trick that changes the whole landscape of the run, and the cycle begins anew. I love it.

I'm just going to throw this out there as this is my speed game but not my category, and even though I really enjoy the content you make, you've gotten much better with time and this one is feeling just a little dated. It'd be awesome if you did a history on the 96 exit category, and the people who run it would be more than willing to help you you out with any details, I can pretty much guarantee that. There's so many cool tricks to talk about. People complain that the cape makes things dull sometimes, but there's plenty of things that only happen with its help, Morton Fly and Zips to name a few. Just poke into the discord and talk to pretty much anyone, they're all cool but dots, dolphins, and bramz all have pretty insane knowledge and experience in the game and are around a lot. If not 96, NCNSW is another good choice, and has a bunch of different tricks since the cape is foregone. I hope you consider it as this game is just great and I'd like to see your take on some more of the history.
