I’ve only just realised Jack passed after reading the comments. I’m from the U.K. and have never met Jack but somehow felt like I knew him really well, I’ve watched all his videos and love his warm personality. I often thought about travelling to the states with my family to eat at his restaurant something I very much regret I never did. RIP Jack you inspired a lot of people I will miss you sincerely brother, my thoughts and prayers to you and all your family 🙏🏼❤️

I was hospitalized about 3 years ago for several days. While there I did some utube surfing and accidentally found Daddy Jacks. The channel hit me right off the bat and I fell in love with Daddy Jacks. I spent many hours watching this channel and still am a big fan. What impressed me the most was Jack's truthfulness and total selflessness towards his friends and strangers. He cannot be replaced, but more importantly, neither can the priceless memories!

I only learned of Daddy Jack's passing today. 😢 My heartfelt condolences go out to his family. Jack was one of those rare people who, even though I'd never met the man, I felt like I knew him my entire life. He was part of the family. When Covid started, I would watch his cooking videos on KZbin for hours and days on end. He helped me to appreciate the belief that anyone can get in the kitchen and cook. You just need to do it and practice at it. His legacy will live on indefinitely. Love and miss you Big Daddy!

I miss this guy and these videos terribly! I learned so much just through watching his videos. I don’t have a well established “bucket list” but a trip to New London, CT was definitely on it. I wanted to meet Jack and enjoy some superb food cooked by one of the best. How a guy with hands the size of boxing gloves could have such precise and articulate knife skills was amazing. Just a suggestion. Include the "In loving memory..." at the beginning of the video for those who may not watch 'til the end. Glad I got to meet him (and his daughter and Paula & her husband and Bea making pizzas!) at his restaurant in Connecticut. We're from Texas and were visiting Maryland. Made a special trip as I have been a big fan for years! He literally spent the entire time visiting with us. What a gracious guy!

Now I'm Italian and have been making my Nonna's recipe for 50 years... but adding the pepperoncini, curry and jerk seasoning changed just enough to make a very, very interesting meatball! I love it! I just wanted to share my condolences with Jack's family. I started watching Jack TEN years ago when he was cooking at Chaplin's (Chicken Marsala!). I started by watching his cooking style.... but, I subscribed and continued watching because of his passion for cooking and life. He has been a blessing to me and I know how much of a loss this is for his family. My prayers are with you!

I found his channel, in late 2017-18,yes & eventually, we spent a good evening @ his establishment in New London,Ct in late June 2019, enjoying the food, music,atmosphere all. I had a direct line of sight into the kitchen,& saw our hero @ work,Bea, etc. Later on, he was @ his table with a few others. Glad I got to go there, everything about him via his videos, family, friends, we're better ALL: for being graced by this wonderful human being, 1st & forthmost: YES!

The best compliment I can give Jack Chaplin is I felt like I knew him for decades and was a personal friend, even though I only knew him through KZbin and comments we made back and forth. That’s the great positive impact this man had on me. I have an illness that I’ve suffered with now for over 40 years and Jack and his warm personality had always made me feel better. I have literally been unable to watch Daddy Jack's videos since he passed. But I'm trying to ease back in without blubbering like a baby. I never met Jack. But like so many of his fans, I discovered him online during the pandemic and grew to love every video and his unique recipes. He helped me keep my sanity during lockdown and my dream was to travel from Massachusetts to New London to shake his hand and enjoy a great meal. Sadly that will never happen. But his videos will always inspire me as they do countless others.
