Rilly Jo Nope. Just remember that there are a number of ingredients that start with moisture. And simmering is on a low temperature. And the simmering will let the flavors come out much better. 👍

By paying attention 100% of the time and adding ingredients in the right order etc. He doesn't let enough time go by too fast and keeps an eye on the pot which most folks fail to do as they whip up their recipe. DJ is on it full time like any chef/cook should be, its a job. Also, keep in mind these videos are edited to save time so much of the cooking and simmering is not in the video.

And for that matter the difference in cooked and uncooked beans is a question of hmmmm, *how long you cook them.* So you're not wrong once, you’re wrong twice.
