I absolutely love your tech and bike videos. Not only do I get to discover New-York, but the rush is unique and enticing. I envy you your weather, imagine, because here winter biking is sufficiently hard even for my converted fixie into a winter bike (Yes, I need brakes). My 700X30 studded tires don't suffice most of the time and snowstorms and freezing rain make it hard as hell to go out and ride. Here, at this time of year, we are definitely in fatbike territory. Thanks and keep him coming. ;-)

i think its generally better to blend in. but in the rain its often the difference between 4 people walking in front of you and 3 doors opening (in a given block) and 3 people walking in front of you and 2.5 doors opening. if this sounds silly, try riding around midtown manhattan in the rain wearing all black vs with a little dayglow yellow; i'm converted.

Just to clarify he's talking about the temperature. He's wearing a warm coat and hat, the video is typically called 'hotline' but because it's a very cold day he jokes that they're filming a 'coldline' instead

Really depends on where you're at, it's illegal but if you live in a cyclist heavy area and people regularly "skitch" it's a touch and go thing. Some people don't care others do but not much they can do about it.
