Not hardly. A Ferrari F40 or Enzo would cut this thing into ribbons on a racetrack. Two entirely different styles of car. Just like the Ferrari has no chance at drag racing this monster, the Ford has no chance if there is a turn involved. Just not set up that way.
@lop8828

Cody King says who obviously this set up is no good for track and figure 8 but it will not dissapoint. too many variables to say the f40 or enzo would destroy. same tire, no tcs, fuel octane, and limited aero would be milliseconds close.

@codyking4848 7 жыл бұрын
Jack Brand never heard of Le Mons. Le Mans, on the other hand, yes... I've raced there. Are you too stupid to understand this car isn't built for road racing? It had been modified to go fast in a straight line... that's it. There is nothing to argue... it's right in front of your face. So unless ferrari is suddenly competing in the Texas mile, they could give a shit less about this particular car.

Even if street legal IN USA, it isn't a street legal car! In the world you have emissions, things that thoose tuners know very little about (or nothing probably). Any engine can be tuned, and if a V8 can go fast, a W16 can go way way faster with tuning, but then it will break down much much much frequently, things that on hypercars doesn't need to happens! Even brabus is a proper tuning company, but still they make a tune that keep you into emissions, that stuff is hard to do! Fast into a runway is easy, go fast into corners, then we'll see who is really better ;)

Bosko Markoski : The absolute 100% problem with your statement is when talking Bugatti's....you're dealing with oem. What is god's name is going to happen when someone busts out with a bored over stroker, quad, ball bearing billet wheel 80mm+ v-band Bugatti? What Bugatti is doing is just plain jane oem. A "$100,000+ under the hood" version running massive turbos is going to be insanity. I mean, I kind of run it funny when people see a custom built "$100,000 under the hood" vehicle and cry about the Bugatti.....o.k.....let's place $100k in Bugatti's bay too. I havn't seen it happen, but when it does...it's going to be insanity to the 10th power.

I am sorry for the over the top reference, but in all honesty, this car did what few others were able to do! That was to take on the master builders, Ferrari in particular, and beat them! Mind you it was a long time ago but it did happen. It is also very difficult to find advancements in America that are not fueled by people of other countries! In fact except for our indigenous Indians, we are all of foreign decent. I love cars, sports cars mainly and it cases me to be irrational at times! So please accept my apology.

The same way that I did not reference Henry Fords model "T" , I did not make mention of all of the developmental work on rocketry. In the highly competitive European racing there have always been several manufacturers that have rained supreme. One of which was Ferrari who dominated the LeMans for years. I was just impressed with the competitive nature of this car, and would have appreciated it no matter who manufactured it! This is just a humble mans opinion and should serve as nothing more.

The real champs here are those tires, not the car itself. Whoever made THOSE 4 tires is the real record breaker, as without them, it does nothing. Tread pattern alone adds to serious friction over 200 mph so the design and structural integrity is just brilliant. Yes, the 40-43" high car does not hurt, nor does the horsepower, but you cannot use either without tires.

320 would probably be about right, It likely doesn't have much gear left in it after 300, its optimized for raw acceleration up to that point. Not really optimized for a ~3-4 mile top speed run.

Truett Neathery: When you have to have the part to compete, and you've spent millions on developing the car, you don't worry about spending a few thousand to make sure that the car is able to compete. Not to have spent the money would have meant that all the previous money was wasted. After the fact, maybe it was and maybe it wasn't. That's for them to decide.

@eds3969

It's the stock engine, but obviously specially tuned. BTW, any car can't do this. It requires a masterpiece of engineering for a car to stay on the ground at that speed.
@fordgtguy
@fordgtguy 6 жыл бұрын
Uh no... most cars would fall apart, flip or crash approaching these kind of speeds under such stress. This requires aerodynamics, rigidity, traction, top-notch engine and transmission reliability under strain. Most supercars nowadays could even do this with 2000 hp, as evident by the amount that have tried.
@eaglefat9398
@eaglefat9398 6 жыл бұрын
drag cars do these speeds all the time, a 72 chevy nova is not aerodynamic whatsoever but add twin turbos and a fat set of slick tires and it will do it, heres a 240mph in the 1/4 mile puckup truck if he kept going for 3/4 of a mile more it would do +300, A 1988 Trans Am has a aero CD of .28 , any corvette after 1984 has a aero CD of .31 or better and a Bugatti Veyron has a CD of .34 so don't think a GT is anything special in terms of aero

@katsaras1
@katsaras1 7 жыл бұрын
No, tho their tires are made as a "complete rubber" tire, meaning the whole thing is rubber, no air is needed to infate them, and their wheels are made like a train's wheels with very few wholes on them (compared to the ones on racing or production cars), things that make these wheels incedibly heavy and a car like this with wheels like these would never even make it to 60. If it was that easy to break world records or if there were wheels like these, the bugatti chiron, hennessy f5, koenigsegg regera etc, would have already hit the 300+ record already, and every week at least we would have a new car with a new world record speed
@_winter7745
@_winter7745 7 жыл бұрын
Andreas upsidedown Those cars don't represent the state of the art. They are 'production cars' meaning heavy safety features, electronic governing, blah blah blah. You get a lot more out of a car that's so built it can't even make a turn.
@GoonSquadMonopoly
@GoonSquadMonopoly 7 жыл бұрын
Those cars are designed to have a margin of safety built into them and are built to drive in almost all conditions. This GT probably runs Hoosier racing slicks and the only liability is the driver behind the wheel. Also, this car is probably making around 2500hp. No reason why it shouldn't be able to reach these speeds from a power basis.
