Fun review. For the few times I have needed to cut cold butter, I have just heated the knife with boiling water. For someone who prepares a lot of food and is meticulous about presentation, this might come in handy. Thanks for sharing your review.

When I take a stick out of the fridge,it stays out. I keep it covered and it's soft. I have read that 2 days is fine but I just use it til its gone. Usually pretty fast tho.

Butter from the grocery store is pasteurized so I’ve always left it out, for a few weeks even. It has the smell of blue cheese once it goes off after several weeks. It’s cold in Canada though lol

I don't need the knife I leave my Kerry gold butter in a container I got at Home Depot it's a Mexican Plaster Container with a matching lid I leave it on the counter year round and it has never gone bad. Viv would know the plaster Mexican container they have them in Texas. 😂😂

I LOVE Kerry Gold butter. I put some in a pot of syrup(spiked with Crown Royal Maple) warming on the stove. Then, I put more butter on my pancakes or waffles. A very clean tasting butter. And, yeah, it's pricey.

Pampered Chef used to have an ice cream scoop that when you held the handle, the scoop heated. It was perfect for frozen rock hard ice cream. Unfortunately, they no longer have that ice cream scoop and both of mine no long get warm.

I immediately started thinking of crafty uses for this. Like cutting your homemade candles or soaps. Wondering if it would slice through plastic bottles, leaving a smooth edge? What about thin plastic shower curtain liners? Plastic craft mesh? Imagine the possibilities! That being said, for butter or cold frosting and spreads I just pour some boiling water into an insulated travel cup and get on with things. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Ya know if you don't get that whipped cream cheese for your bagels, how hard cream cheese is to spread. I would heat this knife up for just a couple if seconds to get it warm, and them use it to spread the cream cheese.
