@goukul a pillai do some research online and you will find that the Dodge demon struggles to hit 9 second quarter miles unless its running drag tires, race gas and ecu and is racing on a perfectly prepped race track. A dodge demon a track like this would run well into the high 10s to 11s because its not a prepped race track.

Motortrend will probably on Velocity in a couple of years. I will give it to Motortrend though. Out of all the other magazines that jumped on the KZbin bandwagon. Their content is the best. It has a more young, hip and vibrant feeling about it. Car&Driver, Road&Track need to step up their game. I just saw Car&Driver Lightning Lap episodes. Just like Best Drivers Car the Lightning Lap is a must watch. I also prefer it more because it sticks to the basics. Which is which car puts down the fastest lap at the Virginia International Raceway for its perspective pricing segment.

That way we can see where each car is at all times compared to the other cars. I wouldn’t call this a drag racing video. in theory I agree. however they run this drag race many times over to ensure they report accurate results so the final video is curated to ensure the results you see represent how the results of many drag races averaged out. I've been a paying subscriber to the Motor trend magazine for over two years now. Not only do they want me to pay for a separate video service, but I have also learned with the release of the latest BDC issue that you cannot even read a World's Greatest Drag Race article without them trying to shove their website promotions down your throat in the second paragraph and trying to manipulate you into using the site with a cliff hanger ending. I have nothing against Randy or the hosts of the Motor Trend shows but the way the company is treating even paying customers is disgraceful and insulting.

If you check it carefully the 720s doesn't have the quickest launch on the first 30 meters. the Gt2 Rs and the Lambo have a better launch control thanks to their awd.

The ew Mustangs are over rated they not that quick or fast. High 11's at 118-119 mph in a tune only 5.0 yes, but not totally stock. They should have at least had the automatic, base pp1. It might have done 12.3@115 mph or so.

It doesn't happen very often that Ferrari lends out their cars to compete directly with others. (I.e. Top Gear had to put in great effort to get LaFerrari vs 918 vs P1) The reason for their conservative behaviour is their image. They are the most widely-known sports car manufacturer and in combination with their history, they have quite a big name to keep up. Now I believe the 488/812SF wouldn't be too bad competing with these cars, however the risk for Ferrari is too big. Also, the choice of cars has always been interesting in car shows, nowadays logistics and cost are prioritised instead of the importance of the selection of particular sports cars.

The Demon would have been interesting in the place of the Scat Pack to be sure for this segment, but the GT350 isn't new for 2018 and so it's not in BDC for this year. The PP2 GT is.
