@Not2008Me5 жыл бұрын
@@skywalkerx4 I don't believe you're black because if that were true you'd know that black women can certainly have hair past their shoulders. Mine is to my waist and I'm black with two black parents, not biracial. The keys are making sure your hair is moisturized properly and that it retains that moisture, as well as not doing things that destroy your natural hair, such as perms, extra tight hairstyles etc....I personally also sleep with a satin scarf due to cotton sucking the moisture from the hair. Simple things like that can help keep any black person's hair stay healthier and retain length.

Hair grows and grows no matter the style. The style is not the problem, it’s the care of the hair. Locs grow long, not because of shedding, locs grow long because it’s a permanent protective style. It’s not being constantly combed, hot curled, manipulated etc. Therefore it maintains length. The only difference is hair that naturally sheds is not seen in a comb, brush or sink because it sheds in the loc. Back in the day, when people wore “Jerri Curls” they achieved super long hair also for the same reason. Less manipulation and constant moisture/conditioned. That’s the reason why people think that braids make their hair grow, they don’t, you just left your hair alone.

Hair grows 0.5 inches per month, which is 6 inches per year. 110 feet = 1320 inches. 1320/6 = 220. It would have taken her 220 years to grow this hair, if it was STRAIGHT. Dreadlocks make your hair 20-30% shorter, so the straightened length would be 1650-1886 inches which means it would have taken 275-314 years to grow! Even if she grew her hair her entire life, that would only be 50 years, which means that AT LEAST 82% of her hair length is extensions
