World's Most Beautiful Gem - You Choose?

In this video we have three entrants from around the globe that decided to compete in a gem cutting competition called "The World's Most Beautiful Gem". The viewing audience gets to decide which gem is the most beautiful? Simply type in the comment section which gem by "NUMBER" you think is the most beautiful? YOU CAN ONLY PICK ONE GEM, ONE NUMBER. I vote for nbr 3. The dusty blue color is so attractive. However the way this stone has been faceted is outstanding. It really stands head and shoulders above the first two. Very imaginative cutting.

#1 Is my favourite. I like how the colour changes by angle, when you look at it through the table it's intense and highly contrasted, but when you look at the pavillion it's much lighter. The shape is is a simple trilliant, which feels more elegant than #2. #3 Is interesting but it feels too gimmicky to me. It was a tough choice but I feel confident in my selection.

It's #3 The way the gem looks like it is rolling is just so dang beautiful. The way all of the gems are cut is amazing but three is the most incredible, as it has an amazing color, clarity, and even is an optical illusion.

#2, even with the flaw it's still beautiful. #1's color too thin and looks 'cheap'. #3 doesn't 'light up' because the choice of the cut. Maybe if the contest was judged based on the technique, #3 would win.

Interesting offerings. each has their own pros and cons. The Triangle is very sparkly, great patterns of light and dark, and reflections, but the windows show. The Oval has lovely color, and sparkle but the flaws in the stone distracts. The round is a nice color, cut, but the frosted facets needed to be a little more frosted to contrast more, on pale stones this usually the case. My vote is for No. 1.

I like #2, its color is nice and the flashes of color when it reflects are a nice touch, as well as the roughly eye shape of it. 1. is nice, but it feels a bit basic, the color is nice but too bland. 3 on the other hand has a nice color but no shifting as 2 and 1 have, and I feel the facet pattern is trying a bit too hard tbh, especially since some are too similar and blend together. i feel maybe a higher angle perhaps or more light could make this gem shine, but it doesn't do it for me.

I'm going with #2. The depth of color in #2 is beautiful; the blue-grey hue of the gem is so subtle it almost looks colorless from the side, but from the top it breaks into brilliant indigos and silvers, like storm clouds over the ocean (maybe nickname the gem "Eye of the Storm?") I also have a soft spot for gems with inclusions, and I think the sleight veil in #2 gives it a unique character; nobody will ever cut another gem that looks exactly like that. #1 is also gorgeous; the gem is flawless, the cut is a beautifully-executed standard trilliant, and the color is beautiful. That said, the depth of color in #1 doesn't surprise me the way #2 does. There's not much to set it apart, aside from the flawless execution. It feels almost clinical in its perfection. I love the idea behind #3. It definitely shows the most creativity of the bunch. However, I don't think #3 achieves the same depth of color that #1 and #2 do. #3 looks like it had the most saturated color to begin with, and yet it has the least depth when viewed from the crown. It might have been more successful if the designer had found a way to create the yin-yang pattern on a set of nearly-horizontal facets, and surround them with more steeply-angled facets to create more scintillation. Sincerely - a kid from america who has never cut a gem in their life, and whose opinions should be taken with several large grains of salt

I love cutting Trilliants for their Brilliance. So my vote is for #1 Trillion/Trilliant. It appears to be the most accurately cut as well. While a light colored material, there were no flaws and no apparent missed Meet Points which I could see in the other two gems. I am a bit surprised there were only 3 contestants though. Makes me wish I would have joined in this competition but I forget if it was only open to those in Australia or not ? Either way, I like the results. All 3 gems look great but again, my Vote is for #1.

that's a tricky one. I have to go with 3, because of the many different colors it produces. but all are awesome. 2 had some refraction inside, like a crack,that just made it even more interesting. and for some reason 1 gave me an impression of liquid water. don't know how that happened. but 3 it is, irritating and forces to refocuis several times. like there is somethign hidden inside.
