This is what I had been working towards all year. Slowly but surely building my daily driven 2018 Audi S4 to go quicker and faster in the 1/4 mile than I ever have before. On Oct 18th, 2022 I attended the very final day of drag racing before they shut down the drag strip for the year. I put everything I had into the car to try and run a 9 second 1/4 mile pass. Sadly though it wasn't meant to be. I repeatedly ran 10.0x's at 136 & 137mph.
To make things even worse I have now discovered that my car was not making all of the power it was supposed to be. In the coming videos I hope to be able to have some definitive answers for you all as to what was going on with my car and why it wasn't performing at its best. Once we figure that out I may have to get out there and see what my car may actually be able to run in the 1/4 mile when running at 100%.

Hey Adam thanks for sharing despite of what you’re going through. We definitely appreciate what you do for us, weather it’s that next video you put out about dynos or new goals, weather you help someone along on a long work commute like myself “safely watching/listening 😅” or just help pass time for someone at home just relaxing it all counts and we appreciate it. And I get it, no two people or cases are the same. I’ve fallen off the map after some physical limitations set in. Blown shoulder, weight gain due to that and a horrible sciatica issue that makes me not even be able to at times walk a 1/4 mile. Whatever the issue is it gets better that I know. Just keep working it brother it will be better, share your videos as always we enjoy them, on here on on IG, whatever man. There are a lot of people out here for ya and would give support if need be. @@scottc78 it's more the time it takes to build boost and letting off the brake at just the right time as your rpm's are increasing as soon as the green light turns on. You can't just sit on the limiter like bracket racing cars do.

Thank you. The exhaust valves being unplugged wasn't it. I discovered the fact that I'm making less power on the dyno when I had the exhaust installed. The only effect the removal of the exhaust had on track was that the turbo spooled quicker and that it weighed less.

@7:53 you and me both. I've found a few vacuum issues. Take care of yourself man! The car and channel will be there for you whenever you're ready. I also got a tip about the venturi valve in the turbo from a parts person who also enjoys making power.

So many questions in one comment, lol. I never made a video on the Turbosmart diverter. As I mentioned in the video it never did anything for me for performance. My OEM diverter wasn't leaking. The only time I've ever heard it make noise is on the dyno when we let off after a pull. You'll heard it in videos to come. Hopefully in the coming videos I'll be able to explain to everyone what we found and how we can make my car run at 100%. You can order the hoodie off of TTE's website.

I'm looking for a lightweight rim/size with good sticky tires. Thanks in advance for your experience and time A+++

@@st1ll_human I'll consider making that video. Thanks for the recommendation. If you're looking for a performance upgrade you'll want to find the smallest wheel you can fit around your brakes and then find a lightweight option. Enkei, Fast Wheels, Neuspeed, Superspeed are all good options. Good and sticky tires tend to be found in drag radials, drag slicks or street radials. All of which have a very short life cycle and are not meant for daily driving. You'll want a high performance tire but I wouldn't say they are "sticky". I run Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires on my cars because they are light, they are quiet and they wear well.

They don't make upgraded direct injectors for that platform as far as I know, so that isn't an option for you. They have made some prototype port injectors but I'm not sure that they are in use yet.

I've never been a big believer in turbo blankets. I've never used one before on any of my builds and I'd say my cars do alright 😉

I don't understand. I went through every bit of weight reduction I did to the car. Do you prefer a number like 338.6lbs instead? There is always more weight reduction available. It just depends on how far you want to go: carbon fiber body panels, remove the door cards and so on. As for the parts: Fuel Pump rebuild is APR. Injectors are any Audi or VW dealership. MAP sensors are TTE.
