The electric cart I built when I was a kid topped out at 76 in the quarter mile. That was using deep cycle lead acid batteries. 8 of them. It was a death trap.

You stated the motor can peak at 220 amp for one minute I believe. I would like to see you add a " boost button which allows you to reach that peak or some of it for short spurts which will allow you to power through corners Faster in a drift with the added front weight talked about in the end.

Great build, my only thoughts are if you placed the motor in the rear, or maybe used a chain tensioner mounted on the top to make the drivechain really narrow then you could have mounted the seat possibly even lower.

hey the motor costs 405$ in EV-Drives the controller costs 350-450 depending on the website the batteries are the more volatile in price (if you buy new battery cells to build it will be one price, if you buy used battery packs to salvage it will be another price) (probably the battery in this Tesla will cost 850-1300$)

Do not add weight to the front!!! Add a drag stabilizer! Or dragbar, or whatever is called that thing they mount at the rear of seafarers to stop them from lifting. If you want you can even add steering to the little wheels of the drag-bar-thingie!

I'm a Mechanical engineer that designs battery systems for aerospace and defense. My only advice for you on this badass little car would be to make sure you can properly vent the 18650 COTS cells. If one of those cells decides to vent, and you dont have good protection, then your leg is going to take a beating.

Wheelie bars would help you from tipping. By the looks of how long the chassis is and where the center of gravity is, the wheelie bars don't really need to be all that long but would diffidently help.

What's the reason for one BMS for each 14S1P module? Would fuse wire not be a suitable substitute? Then you could just have one BMS to charge each module, or is the amperage too high to find a BMS for that. Surely 252A or greater max continuous BMSs exist? Would love to know. I'd be inclined to add a tuneable wheelie bar rather than add a lot of weight to the front of the car. It might not be great for looks, depending on how it's done, but it's most definitely gonna keep your speed up yet reduce risk of falling off the back of the car.

Love it, great job, suggestion: PAINT THE FRAME BLACK. Why did you paint the frame yellow?! You went through all the trouble to grind off the awful yellow paint from the original frame, and then you went and painted it yellow again! Now under the front bumper of the car, you can see this bright yellow thing that totally breaks the illusion and ruins what should be a picturesque shot! Great work, and it's because it's great that I think making this one little fix will make it look perfect :)

I have had over a dozen different quads and dirt bikes..including an old desert racing Honda CR480 dirt bike thats like a damn horse and is stupid fast... and even street bikes including a naked CBR900 that can go 160mph, which I did more often than I would like to admit.... I built a 2 seater buggy with a 500cc Rotax snowmobile engine....... I took a wrecked cbr600f3 and turned it into a 4 wheeler... and geared it down but it could still go well over 100mph. and was terrifyingly fast offroad................... I never said anything about 70kmh being slow- did I ?? No... All I said was, if that little thing could do 70mph- you'd have to be insane to test it that fast.

On many dragsters you'll see bars with wheels, extending off of the rear... I would add a pair of those, rather than adding weight to the front... Beyond that... I feel, now that I've seen this, I've lived a Full Life... The Aliens can come for me now... lol

that controller can offer 350A peak you can find cheaper controllers and motors that doesn't use as much current (for example, one Sabvoton SVMC72100 costs 200$ and can output 100A peak at 72V, other controllers can output more or less power)
