my Grandad was polish and he was abducted by Nazis on a sunday afternoon at age 17 after leaving church with his family. He was the youngest of 7 siblings and he never saw any of them except 1 again, or his parents. He was forced to work in fields farming from which he escaped by jumping on a moving train. He arrived in France and ended up joining the french army and was a tank driver. He was shot in the neck, however the bullet skimmed his neck so he lived but he could only eat certain foods for the rest of his life and always had to wash it down with a drink as he struggled to swallow it naturally. He died a few years ago at the age of 95. God rest his soul. He was a warrior and he never liked to speak about what he had been through as it upset him dearly. Love you Grandad, i miss you x

After I got saved and started getting a stronger relationship with God. Everything got and is getting better, my attitude, my relationships with people and my life. So here: Romans 10:9-11 (KJV) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. John 3:16(KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (Pray this prayer. The prayer doesn't get you to heaven but believing in Jesus does.) Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I deserve hell. I realize that you died on the cross to save me. Please forgive me. Please come into my heart and save me now. I am trusting only you for my eternal salvation. Help me now that I am saved to serve you faithfully. Thank you Lord Jesus. Amen. You are NEVER to far from God to get saved and once u are saved u cant lose ur salvation that's y it's called eternal salvation. Also read ur bible and pray to grow as a Christian. If u have any questions u can call this church's number 204-325-5670.

Similiar story to my grandmother - she was abducted by Nazi at the age of 17 and taken to german family as a governant/maid. She's never seen her family again. After WWII she finally came back to Poland and - as she said - it was even worse then living as a prisoner in Germany. The country was so devastated that sometimes she suffered from hunger. But the worst is still ahead. The Soviets! Poland was betrayed by allies and given to Stalin as a trophy. 6 years of war and 50 years of communism threw Poland into the basket of third world countries. My granmma dies in late 2000. Germany never paid for her 6 years of forced labor, declining her prisoning, cause there was no evidence and documents. Like Germans were supposed to do that. However she was always very cheerful and all of her grandchildren loved her so much. She was very kind despite the hell she went through during her teenage years. A real hero to me - her beloved grandchild.

My great grandfather was a polish veteran in ww2. He mostly conducted sabotages and sent info to resistance groups. One time when collecting info he was caught doing it by nazis and he escaped through a corn field. He didn't die and he lived up to 2015 or 2014 where he passed away. His surname was "pająk" or spider when translated to polish.

Great stuff. Thanks to the authors for the great work done. According to modern data, the number of losses suffered by the Soviet Union in World War II amounted to 27 million lives. 10 million of them are military personnel, and 17 million are civilians, including children and women. China's losses still cannot be fully estimated.

@@sup2175 That's so stupid. The treaty of versailles was forced upon germany by england and france. Building up an army in germany and doing nothing with it does not abolish anything. The reason hitler invaded was to use force to change the fate of the german people. And look at where germany is now, prosperous and a good place to live. Sadly in none brief summary vids (or even larger documentaries made in USA especially) of these vids Winter War or about Finland's and Soviets War with eachother over the course of the war. Oh well atleast he displayed Finland correctly with different color in 1941-1944 than Axis (since Finland never signed the Tripartite Pact and thus was not part of Axis, but rather just seperate ally of Germany), but even there its important to understand why Finland was attacking Soviet Union (because of what had happened earlier in Winter War and its not shown here) and that Finland was by no means attacking alone, but alongside Nazi Germany, got military help from Nazi Germany and allowed its troops to also attack Soviet Union from the northern Finland.

Finland was indeed part of the Soviet sphere of influence after the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. The Soviets didn't succeed capturing the whole of Finland but eventually prevailed. Finland took part in the invasion of the SU but when the tide turned they switched sides resulting in heavy fighting with retreating Germans in Lapland.
@Balnazzardi
@Balnazzardi 5 жыл бұрын
History Hustle ye I forgot to mention about Lapland War against the Nazis that was part of the peace agreement with Soviets. Anyhow the whole war between Finland and Soviets could have been easily avoided if Soviets had just trusted Finland to stay neutral before Winter War and also trusted in Finland's capability and willigness to defend its borders should Germany ever try to attacks Soviets through Finland. Anyhow I dont blame Soviets alone for this whole war, cause ofc Germans were there to write the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact with Soviet Union....Hitler's whole speech at the start of Operation Barbarossa is full of lies and he is just being hypocrite, trying to tell that Soviets "broke their Molotov-Ribbentrop" agreement by invading Finland and Baltic nations, Finland was just a pawn in this "game" for Hitler to use against Soviets. Luckily Finland kept making its own decisions and did not play the role of "perfect" ally that Nazi Germany and Hitler would have propably wanted.
