@@ShadowTZX1 while that is correct, they still got a crap tonne of land, population and resources from Russia who signed an armistice because of the revolution. In my book that is technically defeating them.

The Entente was an alliance between France and Russia. Russia was pulled into the war by its alliance with Serbia who was attacked by Austria. Britain only joined after Germany attacked Belgium. Don’t post a video with the wrong information

Germany only sent it’s troops through Belgium to get to France. Germany didn’t necessarily attack Belgium

There were reasons behind Italy switching sides. Mainly, its relations with Austria weren't good at all, so much so that Austria considered attacking Italy (despite them being "allies") right after the Messina earthquake. Austria also held territories with mostly italian speakers and Italy wanted those territories more than anything. Italy and Germany tried to convince Austria that Italy would help them if Austria would give these alnds to Italy but Austria just refused. Plus, the Triple Alliance was a defencive pact and in this war, Austria was the aggressor and didn't confront Italy before declaring war on Serbia so Italy wasn't forced to join on their side.

@@thatrandomguyonyoutube6348 they baited Serbia into the war due to imperialism. After the prince was killed they gave them an impossible list of demands that they said needed to be filled or else there would be war. Also, there wasn’t really any proof at the time or now that the assassin (who wasn’t Serbian he was Bosnian) was even working for Serbia. Serbia obviously could not follow all of Austrias demands so they were forced to reject and Austria declared war

Germany didnt convince the ottomans to join, it was some ottomans that attacked the Sevastopol Port, forcing the Ottoman Empire into the war

WWI was a leftover from the FrancoPrussian War which was a leftover from earlier Italian Agean Ottoman battles. Central Eastern Europe had been a 'pot' of intrigue annd unrest for centuries.

Austria baited them into a war by giving an enormous list of impossible demands when their leader was assassinated by a BOSNIAN who most likely wasn’t even working for Serbia. Austria then declared war
