FR. It baffles me that they hired someone who seems to have barely directed any decently sized to large movies / projects. She has some award-winning documentaries and some small projects listed on her IMDB but just from doing a brief look at her credentials I'm a bit worried on how it will be handled / directed due to lack of experience with something THIS big and deep story wise. I'm not familiar with any of her work but I really hope the next movie doesn't get botched from having a director who hasn't really made any sci-fi movies or other managed large stories / projects. Hopefully she will have some good new takes / ideas while still retaining the original essence of Star Wars, but worst case the movie bombs and maybe Disney will finally make some changes after having countless flops / disasters. Disney and Star Wars have been doing really bad, I don't know how many more flops Disney can take before shareholders / upper management need to change things to keep their money pouring in :/ I don't care what gender the director is, I just want someone who is qualified and who you can trust will handle the story, lore, and the FUTURE / next 5ish years of Star Wars with care and love. I do not get that vibe from her.
