My first Sri Lankan meal 🇱🇰

Today is the day I met the legend ‪@GoWithAli‬ and we went out to try a local spot in Colombo Sri Lanka. Over there, we tasted a bunch of types of Sri Lankan food and I found that some of the foods we had were very similar to Pakistani food just like the chicken biryani.

"roomma nalla" is very good in tamil, what u ate was kottu it usually has chopped rotti eggs veggies curries mixed together.And in Sri Lanka tea is not chai. we call it tea.Hope this helps

"Raheema" parata is the best in town...crispy and buttery at the same time. Their Kottu is good too but not extraordinarily great though. Iced Milo is the best too...grew up in that neighbourhood so know that place very well 😊

Yes, some or a lot of the food in Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka are very similar. Sri Lankan food is quite similar to South Indian style. India and Pakistan were one country before 1947, when the Brits quit INdia.

The meat dishes/barbecue in Pakistan is better but street food and rice dishes in Sri Lanka are unbeatable! Overall Sri Lankan food is some of the best in South Asia!
