Yes we have been thinking about having a toggle clamp on the side of the fridge that would allow locking. Also the toggle clamp will hold the door shut while the fridge is being transported with kegs inside or moved on castor wheels. We have been considering doing this so it's likely this will be implemented soon.

Always these clever solutions! I love the carb cap gas hole idea! On my kegerator I just have a big hole where cold air can escape. Having a cap would lessen that but there are no threads there.

Should make a tower that connects both sides? Like the T but double-T. Would look slick and probably be just a little more stable? And also perhaps a way to hold two bottles? One for nitro and one for co2?

Interested to hear more about the bladder dispenser. I guess that would be for wine or cold brew coffee for instance where you could still use your CO2 tank to dispense without actually adding any to the liquid?
@dfross873 жыл бұрын
It's designed for beer dispensing. The idea is that if the dispensing gas is not coming into contact with the beverage, you can use compressed air to dispense rather than CO2. Compressed air is much cheaper and more readily accessible than CO2,
@nstefanko3 жыл бұрын
@@dfross87 ah that makes sense. Although that was basically the same concept of what I was saying.
@KegLand3 жыл бұрын
Yes that is absolutely correct. We have been doing a lot of testing on this and we hope to do a video on this new product soon. It's a really cool option to be able to use compressed air or CO2 to dispense nitro beers. It really simplifies the whole setup and reduces cost.

One more suggestion…, in looking at the tower font options I noticed all but the 4 tap version are 12.5” high. I have one this high and it’s too short! Can’t fill a proper Pilsner or Hefeweizen glass. My second tower is 14” high and allows 10.5” tall glass pours and growler fills. May I suggest offering tower fonts for all tap configuration with a minimum 10.5” distance between the drip tray and the tap spout? I’m sure this would greatly enhance this product’s desirability! This and the need for two cylinders on the back are the only impediments to my purchase.
@KegLand2 жыл бұрын
Hey William. Thanks for the feedback. We really appreciate it. I will take this to the others and we will discuss at our next product development meeting. 10.5" is quite a large glass but I am sure other customers would have similarly large glasses from time to time too.

This is exactly why I've been looking at keezers, and I'll be eagerly awaiting the US release in a couple months. One question: I was hoping to start with 4-6 taps now and add more over time, and don't see the point in buying one type of font/tower now, only to replace it shortly down the road. For simplicity and cost savings up front, I was wondering if you offer any type of plug that can be inserted in the extra holes in the font/tower if they don't have a tap occupying the space.

This is definitely better than building a keezer. How bout adding 2 more gas line ports since it has double the capacity as the 4 tap x model
@KegLand3 жыл бұрын
The series X plus is an absolute beast. To be honest I do not see a real application for more than 2 gas lines. Most of your beers are going to be running at similar pressures and having an additional line for Nitro beers tends to be quite adequate. But this is definitely something we can think of incorporating if there is demand for it.

@aidanw29803 жыл бұрын
yeah the series x is far from silent but i’ve kind of gotten used to the noises it makes.
@KegLand3 жыл бұрын
The sound of these fridges is caused by refrigerant gas entering into the evaporator. It might be worse if the fridge has been turned sideways or upside down and oil has migrated into the evaporator where it should not be (this is one of the reasons it's important to let stand for 24hrs before turning the unit on.) In addition to this we use an evaporator that is exposed in the fridge and if you have a sound of refrigerant gas in the evaporator it becomes more noticeable. Many other fridges have the evaporator covered up with a shroud or plastic cover of foam cover than dampens the noise but this also consumes more power and is less efficient. So we have to choose between electrical efficiency and this refrigerant sound. It's still way more quiet than a Grand Deluxe but you might find the sound is slightly higher than some other domestic fridges. Either way you will find this to me more electrically efficient than the majority of other domestic fridge types.
@aidanw29803 жыл бұрын
@@KegLand i’m not knocking the product just stating that it is far from silent in respect to say a normal household fridge which still do make some noise. i’m normal circumstances you don’t really notice it however at night when the house is quiet you can hear when the kegerator kicks on but like i said i’ve just gotten used to it and don’t let it bother me.
