A very unprecedented and interesting match. That's what I've been waiting to see. Pips against pips. See Ito's even having trouble to get used to it (although wins in the end). Manika's greatest weapon is able to twiddle (flip) her blade, using different rubbers to confuse/distract the opponent. If she could develop more serve setups to kill and improve her forehand drives/serve returns, she could be very formidable in future. Go to play/train in China will be a big help. Not many players can flip (inc. rubbers players) instantaneously between shots. That's rare talent. Hope she'll improve/explore/advance in future. Ito wins coz she's more experienced, able to adapt and read the incoming awkward spins. After all, she knows pips, that's her trump card as well.

Batra has made great progress in rencent years. Her playing style is so very unique (backhand rubber with long pimple) that even a lot of famous top players are not used to it and have to accept their loss. keep up :)

very interesting match!! Batra struggled against Mima's fast no spin ball and long push from her backhand. Both player have very good anticipation so many of short, but interesting rally, that's one of the best table tennis match, not only power drive.

Manika has such an awkward and interesting style, it's amazing to watch how her opponents scramble to figure out how to deal with it.

Ito remained close to table and took a much faster timing than other players at the cost of more unforced errors. That made Manika uncomfortable and less consistent. Kuai Man adopted the same style and was successful.

Mima Ito was completely exposed this time. She used to get easy picks to reach semis and finals. She couldn't play back hand for what she is known. Neither much of the forehand. She just won this one. Ito, manika will be coming for you very soon
