I have to say, I find it absolutely hilarious how Taylor was getting bullied after literally robbing a bank and throwing hands with top capes
@notsae664 ай бұрын
I find it viciously infuriating and it makes me dislike Taylor a great deal. Anyone who, when granted the power to improve their life, chooses to remain a victim for arbitrary nonsense reasons, gets no respect from me.

so leaving your bullies stranded without any phone somewhere is "too far" cause they might get molested, but selling out/snitching on the comrades who saved your life, welcomed u (mostly) & trusted u to the capes causing the mission to go from hard to deadly, not to mention you're still playing spy planning to betray them later even after u knew they suffered like u did & didn't necessarily choose this path. Girl! ur kinda hard to root for at this point.

One is a group of mean girls that any adult man could beat up and abuse The other is a group of superhuman teens who are part of organized crime and already robbing banks and beating up superheroes before turning 18... Also they didn't chose to START walking the path but they actively choose to stay in it, like any criminal you are free to turn yourself in, pay the price and lead a normal life after it

This exact kind of logic is why I could never get through reading Worm. I just can't stand Taylor, her sickening self righteousness and refusal to do anything to make her life better just crawls under my skin and sets my nerves alight with hate. I've been listening to these readings to try and get the story, because I like the setting, but I find Taylor an absolutely grating perspective that sours the story for me more than a little bit.

@@notsae66I read through worm originally several years ago and I’ll say that it’s a slogggg in regards to Taylor for the first 7-8 acts but not only does she grow as a character but it also makes sense! All of these events have happened in the year and a half after she’s lost her mom and has been viciously bullied for absolutely no reason to the point she was interred in a psych ward. Her being confused and hypocritical makes perfect sense for her, especially because she hasn’t even hit 17 yet.

Hey, do you remember how did you create the Bakuda voice effect here? I really like the effect (it needs to be a bit toned down to help with understanding but overall its very cool), I wanna try to replicate it
@ReinAurre Жыл бұрын
It was a terrible process and I really don't recommend trying to replicate it. I want to say there were about 5 steps required for each line. I remember splitting each line into 3 tracks and one of them was a vocoder, and the final step was balancing the three tracks so they wouldn't be too loud in comparison to the rest of the audio. I think one track was an auto-tune effect to keep things closer to monotone, and the other may have been a combination of high/low pass filters. Again, it was too many steps and the payoff was not worth it, I really don't recommend it.

Thank you for making this. I can't understand what Bakuda says, though. Is there a version without the effect?
@ReinAurre4 жыл бұрын
If you check the audiobook chapter posted on our site I think I updated that one a couple years ago, though I honestly can't recall. Regardless I sincerely apologise for how this one turned out. I learned a lot of what not to do from the bakuda chapters

@@ReinAurreYou know you lowkey gave Taylor super strength lol. Half unconscious stabs thru a shoe/boot toes bone, sole of shoe/boot and 1/4 inch into the pavement. I don't know if you ever tried to stab pavement but a quarter inch is a long way in. pavement is not soft and porous like asphalt its hard like metal and gritty !
