Sometimes it tightens the skin for a while, making it feel like something is happening at least. Just like a wrinkle-remover, that causes an allergic reaction, which makes the skin blow up and therefore the wrinkle will be gone for a bit. It's sad how many (scam) creams and products there are for women and how much pressure's on them to use those products in order to 'look perfect and skinny and hairless and desirable.' Honestly, you can comb your hair with shine-cream till it's shiny like a wig, you can scrape the hair and skin off your legs until they resemble perfect shiny hotdogs, you can stuff your bra till you no longer need an airbag, you can hold your breath till you faint and you can wear the newest fashion and you can look like a goddess and sing like an angel and smile like a circuspony and it doesn't matter one bit. You can pretend to be perfect and the group of assholes at the bar/party/street will *still* grab you by the arm and drag you towards the bushes, throw you in it, chuck a cupcake at your face and call you names. You will still be ignored during conversations, you will still be ridiculed for being 'obsessed with your appearance' while another girl is being told she resembles a man for not wearing make up and a third one is being told to lighten up and smile for once. It doesn't make a difference what you do, it won't make anyone respect you any more because of it. ...sorry, what I meant was, it is a scam product that doesn't work.

My ex got me a kitchenscale for Christmas, that was RVS and expensive. He presented it, unwrapped, in his kitchen. When I thanked him and wanted to have a closer look, he pushed me away and said it would stay in his kitchen. It was for our future together, not for my new house. He said he wanted me to make biscuits for him with it, but later said he was on a diet and didn't want my "stupid biscuits" and he had been using it to weigh his food in the last weeks, for his diet. He then said that the gift was actually that he was working on his health and that a healthy boyfriend was a great gift. I agreed and praised him. I went to put my food in the fridge and was confronted with a heckload of fried chicken and satésauce and alcohol. He said he had been practicing the diet but not seriously yet. Oh and yeah, he was nearly 30 and wore Lynx. Felt that was necessary to add. And not like pssht-pssht either, more like ScchhhWwwhuuuuuhsuhsuhsuhSHWuhShuWuhShsuhWhsshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhchhhpffhhhshh with a cloud that stings your eyes.

He did the same thing with a book once, he got me a thick comicbook about a Medieval dog. It was called Bones. He presented it to me on my birthday (admittedly together with a card he printed for me and some old Valentinesdaychocolate that he kept in the freezer which had gotten rancid, because I have my birthday in July) and he said the book had been very expensive. I thanked him and wanted to read it. He reminded me that he didn't like it whenever I read, so 'Please don't." I wanted to put the book in my bag, but he wouldn't let me, because *he* wanted to read it. I asked him when I was allowed to read it and he said; 'At home, perhaps, after I have read it first. And I am busy now, so forget about it, it'll happen in the future" and he firmly placed the book on his bookshelf that I was not allowed to touch. I ofcourse never read that book. I did read other books, that I brought from home, but he would ask me to stop, because it made him nervous. "God knows what you are reading Widde, what if your books tells you how to dump a man or play with his feelings. Put it away and rewatch that Family-Guy-special I put on the Blueray-player." I'm sad and happy at the same time, to say that I have read só many books after we broke up.

Honestly 5:04 my Dad may be the only man on the planet who frequents his lynx Africa. He literally puts it on his list so he can stock up each year , and gets disappointed when people think he puts it there as a cop out. The worst present I ever got was the year when; as a 9 year old boy; my aunt and uncle got me a bright orange Bex Bissel carpet sweeper! Being the polite child that I was, I thanked them for the lovely carpet sweeper, which caused my aunt to give me a puzzled look. Think the worst present I got was one from my grandfather and it was like a child's large toy fire engine. The issue was that I was maybe 16 or 17 at the time. Tbf, he was getting on a bit at the time so his memory/awareness wasn't all there and it absolutely did give me a laugh on opening it (after the initial confusion) and got to joke that I'd like to excuse myself "to go play with my vroom vroom" so was that too. Like nobody (he included if he wasn't unfortunately afflicted at the time) would consider buying a 16/17 year old a toy car so was only "worst" in that sense.
