A guy went to the high school prom and left with the quarterbacks girlfriend to give her a ride and they ended up at lookout point making out , the quarterback and his friends showed up looking for her and found them in the Roadrunner and they chased him all night and he finally got away and was doing 120 MPH out of town and rolled it and then drove it home and put it in a chicken coop and never brought the car out again because every time anyone on the football team saw the car on the road the chase would be on again !

Possibly the quarterback and friends sunck up and pushed the roadrunner off the cliff a lookout point. O possibly while making out the roadrunner got knocked out of gear and rolled down the cliff. I know of that latter event actually happening and a vehicle landing at the bottom of the Canyon at Ravenden Springs Ark.
@fieldinglover

@@thecollectoronthecorner7061 That's a nice twist to the story and very believable , I had it in mind that every time he would take the car out of hiding he would get chased and more damage would happen to the car . but the idea of the Football team pushing it off lookout point is awesome and could have happened for real , We had a car off lookout point here but it was someone that took a junky car up to lookout point and put it in drive and jumped out and that rusty car is still there today

If you are talking about my lookout point story it is 100 % true , there are houses built all over the lookout now but the car is still there at the bottom of the hill because there it's blocked off by a river , and I know the person who did it , who at the time was being an idiot , the football team story I made up but our football team would go out and get into fights just about every weekend just for the fun of it , I got into it with them one weekend and they were in a 4x4 pickup and just for the hell of it pushed my truck out of the school parking lot late one night with their truck with me and a friend in it , you didn't want to be on their bad side and that is how a came up with my story , but the car going off lookout point is real

This is a worthy sequel to the Goat! A project like this has SO much ambition and creativity, which is really what made watching the Goat come back to life my most looked-forward to content here on KZbin. "low buck, low effort" are not dirty words! That's the aesthetic that makes these projects so unique and inspiring. Looking forward to this saga!

Dalton, another great murder victim revival. I can't wait to see this guy rolling again. You mentioned a vinyl roof...why not spray on a bed liner like Raptor in a medium texture. I've seen done here in Aus and it looks excellent from 6 feet away. Easy to do, inexpensive and long lasting, it'll preserve the roof for millennia. Love the videos, keep em coming. Cheers from down under. 🦘👍

So I believe what you would have there would be the first light speed traveling Mopar that burned up on re-entry which would explain the molten pieces. The rocks are actually pieces of asteroids that penetrated the car by not having a proper Flight Plan. When trying to land the car became too unstable and rolled which would explain all the damage you are seeing.

This is way more entertaining than watching somebody weld a bunch of AMD panels onto a MoPar fender tag. Love the low buck approach, but I’d go for a hybrid look: get all the glass to fit decent, put a vinyl top over enough Bondo to smooth out the roof, and keep all the existing paint you can. Get a junkyard dash and interior trim (looks like you have a combination of ‘68-69 A & B body buckets and a column shift buddy seat). Love it!!!!

Every "Fabricator/Restorer" should own a Port-a-Power, they're GREAT! I used to have an 8 TON Port-a-Power, but I donated it to my Demolition Derby Garage before I killed my back. The moment that you start using one of these, you realize how handy they are, and how many projects that could have been saved if you had this...

You may need to get a hazmat suit if you keep rescuing these cars of questionable origin. :) Great job exploring! Maybe this was a Trebuchet target practice car(rocks/fire) along the same lines as the Holey Goat except with more primitive weapons.

Wow! The former heavy collision tech/and old car restorer in me keeps looking at that car and thinking about how many guys that are rebuilding Road Runners would love to have this car!, The floors and trunk of this car are solid! I keep thinking about how a used roof and then maybe a firewall would make this car solid and straight then a pair of AMD quarters and trunk drop offs would make this into a really nice body! But then you wouldn't have a rolled Runner to play with!

you had the roof of that rolledrunner bouncing like a bounce house! I am curious about the melted aluminum... that is an interesting clue. perhaps some kind of mining operation gone awry... which might explain the rocks.. they couldn't come back empty-handed so they grabbed some drum brakes and a few rocks from the river.. sadly their mission was never completed.

Pretty sure those are the original seats with the center armrest "buddy seat" for in between. The later Mopar buckets have integrated headrests and not adjustables like these. Those seats alone are a pretty great score. I'd use them if I were building this car, but if you wanted to I bet you could sell them, use something else and add a grand back in to your build budget.

Looks like you're off to a good start. It already looks a lot less like modern art and a bit more like a '69 road runner. Just be patient and take your time getting it un-mangled (already looks a whole lot better) maybe you know a body man who could come over and take a look, and possibly give some advice on how to proceed. Perhaps invest a case of beer and lend him your ear (?)

You're a brave man, but doing God's work. Really enjoying these muscle car resurrections, so have a sub 😀 I'm in the UK where we never had much body-on-frame stuff to begin with... where anything burned (even mildly) can't go back on the road, and also where it rains 364 days of the year so pretty much everything from this period is now a pile of brown flakes in a field somewhere. Less 'bring a trailer', more 'pass the dustpan and brush'.

@@PoleBarnGarage absolutely agreed, way too many rules here about what you can and can't do. After all, we're the only country where you have to buy a licence to watch television, and if you don't you can be fined £1000 and get 12 months in jail. Our yearly inspection (called the MOT test) used to be about safety critical items, but now it seems to be a collaboration with the new car industry to nit-pick anything that isn't less than 5 years old and in immaculate condition off the road, so that people will go out and lease a brand new crossover or SUV with money they don't have. I get around it by driving a 1982 Volvo (anything older than 40 years is regarded as a historic vehicle and not subject to a lot of the rules including tax or inspections.) Still, I worry about where the next generation of classic vehicle enthusiasts is going to do with all the cars from the 1990s and early 2000s having been made uneconomical to run (and unlike in the US, most of us don't have barns and garages where we can stash things away until they're old enough to be considered interesting.)

They were probably running it in some sort of rally in a quarry and flipped it, then just sent it to the junkyard because it was just some old car at the time. That's my theory

Love the content, you have the same mindset as I do. Cars are for driving not to be pulled around on trailers. I watched the holey goat vids on another account, will go thru and add likes as I can, keep the videos coming!

I believe those are the original seats, i'm pretty sure in your car you cold get a bench, buckets with nothing between, buckets with buddy seat "what you have" or Buckets with center console. I'm no expert, i'm like you i pull stuff out of the wood up hear in MN and play with it and try to save them.
