Come along as we road trip and adventure to Great Bend, Kansas to meet Chad at Nobody Else's Auto to trade one pile of garbage, well, for another pile of garbage - a wrecked, rolled, and burned out 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner that will be brought back to life in the Pole Barn Garage! This derelict Mopar, a factory 383/4-speed car, was perched up on blocks in the salvage yard decades ago after being rolled and wrecked, and later caught fire as someone was attempting to cut the pedals out of the car. In the spirit of second chances, Dalton will resurrect and return this overlooked and unwanted beast to the road. This, friends and enemies, is the ROLLEDRUNNER.
Thanks to Buzz at Roadkill Customs for putting Dalton and Chad together and orchestrating the deal. See more of roughly 1,500 project and parts vehicles Nobody Else's Auto has to offer, and check out Chad's KZbin Channel:

As someone who lives in Eastern Canada, that car looks mint to me lol. I mean, it's not severely rusted or rotten. That's all that counts to be honest. You can fix that. It might take a lot of time and effort, but it's doable. The cars I sometimes find here are SO far gone that you can't do anything except part them out, because the only thing holding them together is the remnants of the paint and mouse turds. Anyway, that looks like an awesome project!

The last treasure yard near me closed down about 15 years or so ago. The land bulldozed, and its now cheap apartments or something. I can't imagine walking around one like that, I want everything in that yard. Thats so gad damn cool..... even the late model with the 1320 sticker......the stories all those cars had, and so many of them can come back to life. I like how your first reaction to seeing the car is to burst out laughing...I can totally relate to that when picking up new projects. A "Mod Top" vinyl top would be a hilarious way to "conceal" that roof damage. A few years ago I did some final assembly and suspension/interior work on a 69 Roadrunner that had been rolled in a simlar fashion in 1971. It ended up at a used car dealer where they portapowered up the window openings and filled the entire roof front to back with gallons and gallons of White lightnin' brand body filler before sealing their workmanship in with a Saddle Bronze vinyl top. All the filler was still holding up after 50 years and the owner didn't want to change the roof skin so the bodyshop just repainted over it and we put a new vinyl top on...good for another 50 years haha. Ps. Great tow rig too!!!

That yard was incredible! So many good projects!!!🤯 The salvage yards in my area are horrendous! Most are u-pull it type places & are littered with debris & are borderline dangerous to even walk & have no cool cars most of the time anyway. I swear some of those semi pro car strippers must sleep in the parking lot like they're camping out for rock concert tickets!

Hey there buddy, you've got a lot of things to be thankful for... number one is God's love for you and number two is your son. I've got four kids, my oldest is 40... my youngest is 34. I lost both my parents before I was 35 due to smoking related COPD. Please, do something special for that boy who wants to be just like dad... stop smoking, he will want you to be around when he's 50. Enough of that..... Congratulations on the Rolled Runner. I've got a real soft spot for a 69... I had a real good friend who raced his in the early 70's. Too much fun! I'm glad you got one.

I work on mowers on the side. One day a gentleman brought a mower to me, and had his little boy with him. I quickly fixed the problem and sent them on their way. The next day, the kiddo was ‘working’ on his bubble lawn mower. The gentlemen asked him, “What are you doing son?” The boy replied, “I’m Mr. ‘Mowerman’ (not my real name); I’m fixing my mower”. He got quite a ‘tickle’ out of the boy imitating the mower guy. We laughed about it for a moment, and then I said, “That’s the same boy that watches you smoke cigarettes. His face fell a little bit, and he said “f**ck you!" "I can’t believe you said that”. He quit the next week, and gave me a dirty look every time he saw me for awhile.

I found when I had a bug deflector on my '89 Suburban, it didn't really stop any bugs from hitting the windshield, but it did knock a solid 1 MPG off the fuel economy. Which was a lot when I was getting 14 or so. I decided I could wash the windshield every time I got gas. I don't know if it made a difference with something in tow though.

Sooo, I am binge watching 👀 videos and I happened to notice that the pickem up truck has run out of gas. As ya' are under the hood I couldn't help but notice the fuel line filter. I used to love those glass fuel line filters until one failed (we think it was an o-ring) that burned my buddies '70 442 to the ground. A few years before, that I burned the heck out of my hands using a towel to save my brother's '69 Chevelle. The rubber hose split. As a kind warning to all, make sure that the hose you use is rated for gasoline ⛽️ use. As for the glass fuel filter, it is with out a doubt a ticking bomb under the hood. The rubber o-rings dry out prematurely from the engine bay heat, and leak gasoline onto your engine. 🔥

I checked it, and it turns out to be a drivers side…😒😢 They are in fact directional and not universal. There is a wide lip on the top and a thin edge on the bottom. This wide area when on top, the headlight faces the drivers side. I tried. 😉😃

I have driven my old square body suburban all over the country. Lots of dirt roads, lots of back roads. Oregon to Florida with lots of places in between. It has seen both oceans. Been through the PNW forests, western deserts, the Cascade mountains, the Sierra Nevada mountains, the Wasatch mountains, the Rocky Mountains, all over the southwest, the central plains, Texas oil country, swamps of the Deep South. Smokey mountains, mid Atlantic states, and other places I can’t remember. The ol pumpkin, she just keeps on a trucking.

Years and years of KZbin content on that field Looking forward to this build I “think”, if you are able to source a roof, you could restore this one fully. But I guess you found your niche combining wreckage looks with road worthiness. 👍

Maybe, but I'm not stupid. If it can be saved I'll save it, or at least not damage it beyond eventual restoration
