This game honestly doesn't deserve worst game ever title. In my opinion it was just over looked by all the other crazy mayhem light gun games. In fact I think its story line was solid. It's enemies were different variety. Boss battles were entertaining. Numerous different paths to take. Although it was a very short game. It did have alot of reply value. In my opinion I found it way more fun than house of the dead. it kinda took it self abit more serious also I feel.

@@powerdove sadly only a few of us think that way about this gem. 😔😔😔 Like I'd honestly even play this over time crises 1. That game was ammmmmmaaaaaaazing! The reason I like this better is cause of the horror vampire style. I remember been scared of the people that had the parasites on them. You had to shoot them off before they slowly walked up to you. If you missed they fully turned into a vampires and move much faster. So that always was a game changer for me. I remember trying to shoot them off but sometimes I couldn't so when they would be right up in my face I'd panic and blast them away and wait till they turned into vampire bahaha good times!

Vampire Night is a fantastic Light Gun shooter and one of the best of the genre on the PlayStation 2 and of course it was meant to be played with a G-Con 2 Light Gun Controller (also works with the G-Con 45 in PAL versions) on a CRT monitor. It's like The House of the Dead games but with Vampires. Come on Worst Game? F No, how dare you! 10:13 Peter: "Can you change the sensitivity you think in the Options Menu?" Ben: "Great Question." Yeah it's cheesy as hell but it's a decent lightgun shooter and fun enough to play. The choice to put in a character who looks almost exactly like Squall from FF8 sure was a choice.

Yeah this game definitely ain't a terrible game (unless you hate lightgun rail shooters) it's been a while since I've played it but I really liked it. Its basically Castlevania mixed with House of the Dead (cheesy Voice Acting as well). Also the HOTD similarities aren't a coincidence as Namco and Sega made this together.

It's not really a pyrrhic victory if they stopped the forces of evil and willingly let themselves die. More bittersweet than anything else. It would be pyrrhic if they for example killed this sect but before doing so the vampires successfully unleashed an unstoppable global plague or something (i.e. won the battle, lost the war).

This game actually was not bad in the gameplay department. It was pretty fun. Soundtrack was pretty decent too. But much like Time Crisis 2 and Ninja Assault.....the voice acting was beyond bad. "Don't come!....don't come!"

I loved this game. You just don't appreciate the campiness of it all. What's the point of playing a lightgun game without a lightgun anyway? It's not meant to be played that way. Using a lightgun is a different experience because the cursor won't stay in one place, like it seems to do here, unless you have arms of steel. Although the game is on-rails, there are actually several different ways through the village. It depends on which enemies you manage to kill. For example, at the beginning of the level, if you manage to save Caroline before the creature takes her with it, you don't have to keep following it. If you don't manage to save Caroline down in the courtyard, then you just have to keep following the creature until you save her or it kills her or whatever, I don't remember.

I actually went out of my way to purchase this game again for my old fat PS2 around the same time this video came out just on a whim because I remembered this from my childhood and I have to say I've grown to actually understand what quality is and though this games writing and dialogue is not quite quality it's still fun it's still enjoyable and I CAN recommend it I bought it for 30 dollars total cuz shipping I started playing it again today and realize I still don't have all the things the grind is arguably the worst part of this game but the voice acting really wants that title
