The Thing with Halo CE vehicles, specifically the Warthog, (Covenant Vehicles don't apply) is that they were immortal. If you happened to die after splattering the other team by going one mile an hour, you could always go get your warthog again if you wanted.

i always hated the troop carrier warthog because i'd never get the right troops into it. give someone a rocket launcher, they go to the drivers seat and then once they are in the right seat, they'd fire 1 or 2 rockets then die. the right combo is snipers and battle rifle/rocket guys.it's nice to drive 3 snipers and a rocket launcher just far enough away and watch them pick everyone off and the rocket blast the ghost speeding toward you.

honestly the biggest problem I have is its speed, double or triple it and its a great vehicle. edit, by that I mean it still has to be slower then a spartan's movement speed, so they can catch up to it on foot, but like just shy of the Spartans sprinting speed rather then slower then a spartan can walk speed.

@@speedy01247 Nah. Let it slowly accelerate, from slower than a Spartan crouch-walking to fast enough that you need to launch a Warthog off a ramp to board it. Just keep it slower than the Mongooses, that's the ticket. And obviously they need to add some destruction physics. Maybe an 'indestructible/destructible' physics toggle in Forge mode, too.

speedy01247 they should increase the speed by 15% add armor to the front and back and not make it an open platform like halo 3, depending on who is driving; if its a teammate you could hold x to hop in(prompt would be in any corner), if u are an enemy you dont get any option but u can explode it with 10 tank shells. Add 1 more mini gun turret to the left to fompliment the right one , and a missile pod turret in the back to scathe off air vehicles, the turrets shouldnt be as exposed as halo 3s but enough to u can kill them strategically with a ranged weapon (like shooting a grunt off a shade turret) As the main gun have a tiny mac cannon, slightly bigger than a gauss hog that slowly charges and can one hit any tank and has a hug splash damage affect.

Have you played blood gulch? You can farm kills with it for a while if no one takes the sniper. Especially with the 50 cal. that can be fired infinitely making it impossible for anyone to get close.

I've gotta disagree with the Elephant from a gameplay perspective, because it turned the pace of matches of Capture The Flag and Big Team Slayer into an in-game adjustable variable. The closer or further away either team's Elephant was, the longer or faster each game could take to complete; it could also make the games more or less intense. I was in a lot of matches of CTF in particular where the Elephants collided in the center of the map and the amount of concentrated carnage and captures that happened were insane. When one team was about to lose, they would often flee the center valley and that led to a slow-speed pursuit. Those things were genius map design, and I've not seen anything like it since.

The falcon was more of a troop carrier/relies on teammates, whereas the hornet could rely on teammates though was capable on its own, and the wasp simply rejected teammates. i hope all three are included in halo infinite, and hopefully with more carrying capacity for the falcon.

@@davidmorris4612 I can confirm when messing around with a friend in PC Reach that the revenant seems much less... Effective... It took 3 direct hits to kill an elite on normal and 2 to kill him in forge. If shields recharge before the next shot, it might be more. I blame that on the Reach PC port, everything is broken. Whether it be shade turrets firing almost literal lasers on legendary, the damage on some weapons being weaker, AI having a much harder time NOT hitting you on higher difficulties, etc.

That’s not exactly a fair comparison, this is because in Halo CE, the human vehicles are indestructible. And there’s other vehicles that were improved overtime like the pelican, and in Halo CE- Halo 3, there were no human flying vehicles that you the player could fly, the only option was the banshee which in those games is the best vehicle. What I would do is compare the same games vehicles to each other, not as one collective series.

I would have included the banshee from Halo Reach, it feels so heavy and un-maneuverable, in my opinion the worst banshee of all Halo's.

MSL Entertainment Just because something is better does not make it cooler. The Elephant is Drivable, the Mammoth is not. The mammoth will drive off without your Gauss Hog, the Elephant will never do that to you. When is the last time the boys booted up Halo 4 to play Reclaimer so you can pile on the Mammoth?

"BLOODGULTCH WARTHOG WARS", The art of slamming and drifting into the other player as fast as possible and seeing how high you can launch eachother. If someone falls from the vehicle you have to run them down before they flip their hog and resume the carnage. Idk if anyone else did this but me and my mates loved this.

One of my favorite memories from Halo 3 Multiplayer was playing CTF with Randos on Sandtrap, convincing 2 or 3 teammates to go out on Mongooses to distract the enemy team, then driving our Elephant up to the enemy Elephant and just bum rushing their flag for one of the quickest wins. We were literally picking up the flag as it was being reset from a score.

Aside from not being able to strafe in a lot of them, I much prefer CE's vehicles over the other games, especially the Warthog. Drive bys are so much more fun in CE, especially when you launch someone into stratosphere along the way.

Because it was still rather quick, fairly durable, had great handling and controls, and had gunner seats that were rather effective. The inability to use the passenger seats or have pilot weapon options in multiplayer/forge was disappointing, but not really a huge problem in the grand scheme of the vehicle.

Halo 3 Elephant was the absolute best vehicle in the game. EVERY match I would play on Sandtrap was entirely based around these things. I'd convince my team to stay on one the entire match, and 70% of the time, the enemies would see us doing it and do the same thing. It was more like Sea of Thieves ship-to-ship combat or Blackwake than actually playing Team Slayer, and it was so much fun. Soooo much fun!

I used to use the Elephant to park all my vehicles in Halo 3. Perfect for Warthogs and Mongoose and choppers. I even got to Land a Hornet on the Elephant. It's cool bro. 😎👍

My buddies and I were playing Big Team Battle the other night and ended up on Sandtrap. We hopped in an Elephant and the rest of our team followed suit. Soon enough we were having a full on Elephant v Elephant battle with the enemy team until our Elephants collided in the middle of the map and glitched into one another. One of the most fun games of BTB I’ve ever played

I actually love the elephant! If you and a teammate who knows what elephants can do, you can literately siege their spawn point and even lock yourself in it with vehicles in infection feels awesome.
