WORST Les Miserables EVER

I had no idea so many people enjoyed my reactions to bad musical productions. Today, I’m reacting to Blacklick Valley High School’s "Les Misérables." The school name alone makes me nervous! The performance has numerous issues: off-key harmonies, mismatched tempos, and a confusing rock band element.
It’s clear the show is way above their skill level, and they lack the vocal and musical direction needed. High schools often choose difficult shows like "Les Mis" or "Seussical," but these are hard even for adults! I don't blame the kids, but they need better guidance. edward jones yeah I agree. I was Horton and I didn’t manage to get my harmonies down till the night of the show. I was constantly singing my songs in an attempt to remember everything. It certainly didn’t help that it was my first time being a lead role, and I was an alto who lost her voice playing a tenor/baritone role

The horrible thing is, I go to a tiny school which is going in way over their heads and doing a bootleg in-concert version of Les Mis. I’m playing Eponine, and when I auditioned, I thought we were doing a legit Les Miserables production. Although we have like four people who can sing, the show makes no sense because a lot of stuff was cut out and replaced with super bland “narrations”. So wish us luck, because this show could literally be “miserables”.

My school did seussical a few years ago and it was actually pretty good! My school has surprising talent for being kind of in the middle of nowhere. All of our highschoolers can sing and act and most of the middle school. To be fair we do have a great music director but it's sad because the theater program gets almost zero funding. The sports jerseys alone are more than the entire theater budget! What happened to theater!
