I agree. I have owned Volkswagens for 13 years with no issues. I have taken my VW’s to the dealer on time for all scheduled maintenance. Take care of your cars and there are no issues.

Mercedes were great cars before they started to make numerous models to broaden its market. MB used to spend 7+ years to develop each new model, now their engineers are exhausted just to keep up with the model names. As a surprise to me, MB turbo four cylinder engine is made by Nissan/Renault!

Personally, its humorous to talk reliability for things not even out long. Initial quality is fair but can be deceiving as well. Most new stuff is overpriced electronic disasters waiting to happen. Lexus has always been a quality machine, as well as Toyota and Honda. Minis? Lol!!!

Y is Tundra not reliable? Twin turbo V6 in a 2nd year redesign. Y is 4Runner so great? Proven drivetrain. No 8, 9, or 10spd trans, no turbo, no cylinder deactivation & no stupid annoying stop/start.

The lease reliable car in 2023 is more reliable than the most reliable car in 1990. A lot of things that didn’t even exist now count against reliability such as your back up camera screen freezing up or CarPlay glitching. Yes people legitimately get lemons but a lot of the complaints didn’t even exist, and really shouldn’t count towards liability.
