A man I admire lived by the philosophy of “I’d rather help 10 people with 9 scamming me if I truly help the 10th person”! Feel positive about your part of the encounter as you only have control of your own actions! One last observation is that whenever approached I become suspicious if they start by saying “I never do this”.

There is a channel on here that shows doing another oil change that gets over looked on 1998-2003 7.3L's and that is using a fluid extractor to remove the oil in the High Pressure Oil Pump because that oil doesn't fully drain back down into the oil pan and it is the oil that is used for the injectors. If I remember correctly its 2 1/2 qts of oil just sitting there getting all sludged up. There is a plug at the top of the Hipop under the plastic cover. That's how you access to extract that oil.

In cases like what you had with the tail lights. In a situation like this where the wires are unknown and need to be tested with not much tools at hand, I usually use a 9V battery and connect it to different wires, see the result, see if a light turns on. The battery has enough voltage to have the light work a bit to see if the connection is correct, and if the connection is completely wrong the battery doesn't have enough power to fry anything, even the light.

Well I did a thing. I drove from Eastern North Carolina to Augusta GA Saturday before daybreak and purchased a small Cache Camper, made in Alaska that fit perfectly on my 2003 GMC 1500 pickup left to me by my dad at his passing on December 31, 2023. It's no fitted out Ambulance like your rig but it's my little castle on wheels. It's my Nomad retirement program, working my way till that day when I can throw off the shackles that bind me to this capitalistic world and re-ground myself with the earth like I was when I was younger. Yes I got a few things to do to it, about all I bought was a 2017 Shell that is leak free and well sealed. I intend to put solar, Lithium 12 V batteries, a LP cylinder with a 2 burner cooktop, an LP heater, a shower and composting toilet as well as a Max air fan and she'll be all set to rock. There is no gray water tank, just empty the shower pan on the ground and it's legal in most places. Pour the gray water from the sink in a toilet and flush it. Since it's a 2003 and a 1/2 ton pickup, I want to put some beefier suspension on the back so I don't blow a shock. To tell you the truth, the more simple the rig, the better I like it, if I were younger, I may go for the more intricate. But the older I get, the more simplistic I want things. The feeling you had when things were going not so great in this video is a feeling I've had many times before, so glad it was not worse for you than what it already was. I enjoyed this video, can't wait for the next one.
