Do you know what an M-97 flamethrower sounds like? It roars like a dragon, a fiery God purging everything in its path. Hold down that trigger and the whoosh drowns out everything else. Focus on that noise and you can almost convince yourself that you don't hear the screams. By the time the tank is empty, everything is over, even the men are quiet. There's nothing but the crackling of burning thatch. You see, it's not the noise that keeps me awake at night. It's the silence.

Why is there a Star Wars Related Comment in nearly every History Video.
@raikozero37473 жыл бұрын
The various characters and factions within Star Wars it's self was inspired by tons real-world historical setting. George Lucas mentioned countless times that the Empire faction within Star Wars was directly modelled after Germany during WW2, you can obviously see a lot of similarities with the uniform the Empire wore down to the hats, and boots, meanwhile the helmet worn by the iconic stormtrooper and Darth Vader design was taken from those of Imperial Japanese Samurai armor. The term stormtrooper was conceived by Germany ever since WW1 to refer to their version of shock troopers and later Sturmabteilung (Storm Detachment) troops by the SS during WW2.

My great grandfather Russel T. Carr was one of the survivors of the Malmedy massacre he was front page of the news paper in New York I believe on Christmas Day everyone here found out about the massacre. I still have all the documents . He faked his death because they were prisoners with no weapons and endured a German boot kick to the ribs . If he moved he would’ve been shot in the head . He ended up getting rescued by the French and woke up in a hospital days later and that’s when the news was sent to his parents in America . Pretty crazy to think my whole family wouldn’t exist if he died that night . He was givin a bronze star by the president and was there during the trials which got the German commander executed

Wàr crïmes, just think it’s only gotten worse since then… and many crímes weren’t even mentioned in the video. Like against the Jàpanese, it’s said they would ràrely surrendèr because at the beginning of the wàr any Japanese soldiers that tried to surrender were kílled. Also, the US and allies dumped large quantities of toxíc wàr materíal in the ocean… and as we all know drøpped an atømic weapøn on cívilians. Also, what I mean that things have gotten worse is, we (the US) lied to start a wàr with Iràq. Used “enhànced ínterrogation”, which in realíty is actually tørture, large numbers of ràpes were hidden and many crímes never īnvestigated…. But don’t forget, we are the “good” guys.

Don't forget also the desertion rate was fairly high in WW2. These same men went home and lied to their kids and grandkids on how "heroic" they were. Drinking wine in Paris with dames at your side during a war is craven, not heroic. I tend NOT to trust stories of "valiant heroism" because that person was either NOT in the war (they were either too young, injured and couldn't fight) or they WERE and they purposefully "hung back" in fear. Oh yes, how heroic! How easy it is to change history when enough people from your unit cannot change your story.
